Exhaust flame ???

Prosi9,
Ok, it is possible. But only if you want to end up with an overheating engine and a sluggish initial and a misfiring top end. Reason: Severely retarding the timing will lead flames from the exhaust. During my school days, we did it with a buddy's modded CBZ and had lots of people admiring the bike for the blue flames, especially at night on MG road. Works better with free flow shorter exhausts as the stock exhausts will sometime be too long for the flames to flame out.
Makes me all nostalgic now.

Yes!!! it is possible...if you can
- Manage to have some unburnt gases in the exhaust
- mange to ignite those gases at the exit of the exhaust.
Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

I would love to do so if its possible, but I would like to do so only while starting my bike, a blue flame with a loud grunt for a few seconds... jst when I start my bike.
Is that possible in a stock ZMA exaust? How?

OK. But I wont lyk to play with my bike, I lyk stock parts...Originally posted by jayprashanth View PostIn my earlier post, the cbz in question was running an unbranded FFE which was pretty short. So, I guess it also has to do with the length of the exhaust and this leads me to believe that a stock exhaust would be too long for such pyrotechnics.
any other way to do it, lyk cheating!!!

even i had wanted to do this on my bike.
but somehow i cudn't find time....anyway...
my idea is to inject some fresh fuel just 2-3 cms before exhaust outlet of silencer and since exhaust gasses are hot they will ignite this fuel and u will have a flame at ur silencer exhaust.
even if the exhaust gasses are not hot enough for igniting the fresh fuel injected, we can use an igniter ......
and if possible we can place a blue or a red LED kind of fire proof and heat proof light at the center of exhaust...will look real cool man....in the night.
