I own a Honda CBF Stunner 125, and I've done less than 3000 kms on it. While getting my bike serviced a couple of months back, I complained that the bike was only giving me ~40 kmpl. After that, it increased by 10-15%. Recently, one of my friends said that i was over-revving the engine and that was the probably the reason for low milage. I took his advice and started shifting up earlier than I used to. This bike doesn't have an rpm meter so I cant give the exact numbers. The milage further increased by 10% to ~50 kmpl.
Now, though I'm happy with the milage, I'm not quite satisfied with the bikes "power"(not sure if thats the correct tech term). What I mean is that in the top gear just when the speedometer needle crosses 50 kmph, the engine starts vibrating like its under a lot of stress. I'm quite sure theres something wrong. I shouldn't have to over-rev the engine just to cross 50 kmph, right? Even mopeds like Activa go faster than that!
Is it possible that the service center guys did some kind of tuning to increase the milage which adversely affected the performance of the bike?

or a power one
