How did your mech set the timing, did he have to open the rhs crankcase cover to set the timingOriginally posted by pavanchirmade View PostThats exactly what I have in my cupboard right now. The little spring and all that bullshit near the left side bearing in the picture is the valve decompressor assy.
That shit is absent on the 220F as the 220F was never available with a kick starter. The decomp is useful only for the kickstarter. This decomp does the same job as the decomp lever on a RE Bullet. I have some pics taken on my shitty 2MP cellphone camera. But if you look at those pics I am not responsible for the damage caused to your eyes because of the hideous blur that is in those pics

There are various markings on the magnet flywheel, the timing chain sprocket and the camshaft itself. You have to match those markings and voila!
Thank God I had the service manual
Now this is something serious... i have no knoweldge on this or whr i kept my service manual
.., hope the mech's are familiar with these things

I have a P180UG3 and I got the high duration CAM from the 220F[the carb one] installed on my bike. This has made my bike a lot more torquey and rev friendly. The bike pulls off a 100 on the speedo very effortlessly. A lot better than the stock setup. Throttle response has improved a lot. The good thing is: The camshaft is a direct fit. The bad thing is it doesnot have the exhaust valve decomp mechanism, so byebye kick starter. the best price is the money involved.
Cost of the CAMSHAFT: Rs480/-
Labour charges: Rs 170/-
CAMSHAFT Part details:
CAMSHAFT 220F Part number: DJ 101373
Are you sure that this is the right part number because the p180 ug4 camshaft also has the same part number.;... please clarifyKawasaki KB100/enduro/125 substitute parts list http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/508615-post105.html

I have a pulsar 150 ug-iv. I want to know that "Installing this camshaft can i get more top end?"
my current top speed is 112km/h with single rider
and 105km/h with pillion.
but its very hard to go over 100km/h.
its can easily touch 100 km/h speed but after that its start struggle.
In my country maximum 150cc is allowed. So I want to make it fast and better top end at least i want it touch 120 easily.
please give me some suggetion.

Regarding Liquid cooling
I read all the posts in this thread. I am having Pulsar 150 UG3. I would like to modify it to 220cc with the same stroke length. I am planning to cast a cylinder head and a cylinder block using aluminum. which ll be having liquid cooling paths. and an impeller to circulate the coolant. Hav anyone tried this? which piston and cylinder sleeve should i use for better performance.
1. Con Rod
2. Carb to FI
3. Clutch plates and clutch bell
4. Rear swing arm from iron to aluminum
5. Monoshock
6. TCI (done by me)
7. 280' camshaft with 260' @.050"
Planned compression ratio - 11:1
What and al factors should i consider?
Any light pls...
