now to let you know about the problems & the jobs done to get them rectified..........so that another xBhpian does not go through the pains that our chicks (read bikes) give us if we don't take good care of them..........

    1. tak - tak noise from the forks - get the steering cone set replaced.
    2. gear box/shift rough - get clutch checked..........do some minor adjustments done.....lilke clutch plates / pressure plates / bell adjusted.........clutch - wire oiling really helps........if not then get clutch overhauled.
    3. chain noise even after checking on slackness - get it replaced.......its not the chain......its the sprockets that have developed play......one reason for this can be that the rear wheel is not properly balanced........my bikes' chain suffered cause of misaligned rear wheel..........but the SC dint hava that facility........so i am gonna get it done tomorrow itself.........
    4. rear wheel wobbling - any wheel wobbling could be due to three reasons (add if there are more) tyre tread wearing out unevenly / tyre not fitted into rim properly / rim misalignment......

Good to know that your problems are solved. What about the "bike giving jerk when I open the throttle as well as when I close it" problem? Is it solved?
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

                Hi Revz,
For the Jerking problem, get your chain (sprocket to rear wheel) tightness checked. That may be causing the jerks you are reporting.
                Regards,

Is your idle speed proper? (1400 rpm)

the costs inucrred.....not very accurate though......are:
                    1.cone-set replaced - 110 (cone) + 105 (fork oil) + 250 (labor)
                    2.chain replaced - 690 + 270
                    3.regular servicing + oil replace - 250 + 220
jobs to be done ( i am not getting time cause of my brothers' admission)
1.clutch plate replacement - any body tell me how much will it cost??
                    2. tyre replacement + wheel spokes replacement - 2200

@arnie - chain slacknees is proper - the jerking is either due to clutch or due to some throttling problem!!
@abhijeet - idle speed is 1100rpm .... isnt 1400 tooo high???.....how does it relate to the jerking anyways???........i dont think so!!!

anybody giude me ........ i wanna go for new tyres...........MRF again.....what should i go for????

The original MRF tires that came with Cali115 are gem. If you can get the same, go for it. best VFM, never once felt they are losing grip or anything in 30k km riding.

                        which tyre??

                        original tyres:
                        front: 2.75-18 4/6 PR or 2.75x18-42P
                        rear: 3.00-18 4/6 PR

MRF website recommends (for platina 125 / plantia ):
                        front: 2.75R1B / 2.75-17 Zapper FS
                        rear: 3.00-17 Nylogrip+ / Zapper C
                        ......arent they small??????

                        my choices (market search):
front: stock size: Zapper FS / Zapper FM (both N/A)
                        rear: Nylogrip plus (available) ? Moto C (A) / Zapper C (N/A) ? Zapper Y (N/A)

N/A curtesy MRF strike!!!.......dealer said will take 10-15 more days!!

                        what are my options???

Look, jerking is either carb related or clutch related. In case of clutch problem, it should be evident. In case of carb, two problems generally occur - air screw is not properly adjusted, or idle speed is too low. FYI, manufacturer recommended idle speed is 1400 rpm only - look up in your manual and let me know if it is any different for your bike.

Regarding MRF - go for the usual Zapper FS in the front and Zapper C/Y at the rear.

hmmmm......i think it is most probably due to clutch.....i am getting an FE of 60 in city-highway mix......so i think the carb may not be at fault!!...but i feel that u might be right!!....can this be because of accelerator cable play???....just thinking loud!!.....i will let u know about idle speed later (i am at work right now)....but i have always kept it at 1100-1200 mark!!...never faced any problems...

I adjust it to around 1400rpm when engine is hot. Rpm never crosses 1500. When the engine is cold in the morning, rpm reads around 900-1000rpm and increases gradually as the engine warms up.
