@mail2gsyadav : Complete 3rd service, I have not measured mileage upto 3rd service, don't panic, just use the bike for about 1,000 more kms. I think it will gradually improve.

I too own CBZ-X non-atft sept2008 (now with my cousin) done 11.5K kms, in b'lore it fetches worst of 43kmpl and best of 48kmpl, on highway cruise (70kmph+), it can easily fetch 50+, but I have not measured. The bike has rarely touched 3 digits on speedo, just commuting. Engine oil is HH(BPCL), service religiously ONLY at HH ASS.

This will in fact shorten gear and clutch life...Originally posted by rahulsion View PostI also own cbz-x and average i get is around 50-55 km/ltr(total mileage done is 17000 kms). Guys don't stretch ur machine too much, best time to get to 5th gear is around 40km/hr on speedo which i religiously follow. Also while reducing speed, do it gradually on your gears. Like to go from 5th to 2nd don't go
"kat kat kat" to 2nd. Instead go to 4th rev a bit with clutch pressed, then gradually goto 3rd synchronizing with clutch and similarly goto 2nd. This will also increase the gear and clutchplate life......

Well the point if that your bike still in run in....you can expect good mileage at this point of time. You need to wait for 3500kms to done or second service. I have been using Xtreme (not right now)...Always got 55kmpl...with sane riding...
Shift gears at 3500 RPM....let your bike warm up before you take it out for a ride, have tire pressure check regularly.
Coming to Service Center, I have got quite good servicing for my bike atleast HH Showrooms here in hyderabad (Read a 3 Showrooms).
Just have a better rapport with them
2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2008 - Yamaha YZF R15
2009 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2013 - KTM 390 Duke
2017 - Yamaha FZ25

ya what u said is true......SC guyz don't go according to the manual..they have their own set of rules......Originally posted by sarbanoxley View PostSC do not permit you to watch your bike getting "serviced".Read the the manual see what it says to be done on the 1st service. No SC follows the manual prescription.I am yet to come across a SC that cleans the carb @ 1st service
.I dont want to even talk about the Centrifuge filter
.You can try Castrol bike zone they are good they let u watch your bike when its getting serviced
.
I shift between 4000-4500RPM if i want 50+km/lt.The needle may show 4000RPM but the engine will take sometime to GET to that RPM then only u should shift
.I completed my tirupati trip with just 6 lt of petrol translating to 50+km/lt

Lol... its not like your crackcase will go ka-booooooom if you do that!Originally posted by rahulsion View PostWell i have always decreased speed and have gone one gear at a time down instead of halting at a signal in 5th gear and then pushing 4 gears at a time to neutral... I have never got any issues with clutch and gears till date...
Just that the life of components will go down.
