Earlier hyd group had a same idea, a small garage somewhere at the out skirts of the city, where some basic servicing and water servicing would be done...

I'm planning it in near VanasthaliPuram near Hayatnagar.
Its out of the City.
Will help in the testing of the vehicles also easy.
Plans as of now only for Performance & niggling issues.
Change & modifications of air filters, Oils, Sparks, Head lamps, Exhausts, etc.
Sales of Items like Riding gear, Helmets, Tires, & other small items which are handy.
Planning to set it up in a month.

Most of us know the difficulties we face with the Service.
So will introduce the general service after some time.

BUT I REQUIRE ALL OF UR SUPPORT.

i always wished for a shop like this where its a 1 stop shop for a biker
i cant help you now but i am becoming a mech engg .. ill surely help your shop out ... i also need some advise about mech engg ..
i guess you can advise me tomorrow at the meet ?

Its a very good initiative or you can call it a business idea, but you better be prepared that intially it might not bring you the kind of resulty you will be expecting, and when i say prepared it mean both mentally and financially.
At the same prior to starting it you should planned out every smalles detail possible, eg from where you will be getting a partcular item, logistic involved, cost etc, selling price etc.
And do allocate some budget for the advertising because in long run you must be needing a bigger clientale to ensure survival and subsequently for earning profit.
As of now cant think of anything else.

And most importantly All the very Best.

This sounds like an interesting project. Air-filter issues, Cat con removal, upjetting, iridium, free flow; if issues like these can be handled, we are looking at basic stuff, but such basic stuff can come good AFA performance is concerned. And if these get going we can look to further the cause, like modifying chassis to make better handlers... I know I am sounding overambitious but... why not!

First decide, whether you can handle the costs till 12months, If yes go ahead.
(prepare a project report - estimate the costs, also look for possible income sources - never mind if it is small as of now)

Second, always hire the best.

Third, no charity business. (Ghoda ghass se dosthi karega tho kayenga kya??)

A good idea. If u have the moolah,, go for it

As Bandhav said, advertising is the key. And spread the word across.

U should also be ready to ship parts to other states for people who might need them.

Start it off with style and keep the pace.

Great idea and great initiative... I suggest you can make it a service center intially and slowly get into modifications... I would love to be there to offer any kind of helping hand needed..although I dont know anything about repairing bikes... rn egarding advertisement.. we will try and find a way to spread the word.. xBhp itself is a good platform for advertising...

Even we thought of vanstahlipuram only......but if ur really intrested i can get some skilled mechs to work for us(i'll try atleast

)

But this would need lots and lots of planning and moolah........may be we can have a g2g where we can all discuss abt this.

on the whole....thumps up to the idea.

P.s - if at all this happens then i bet that place would become a hangout place for us bikers
