  • Used bike in karol bagh

    Hi all,

I searched and didn't find any information on this.
Trying to figure out where to buy used bikes (like Harley or Ducati). Came across Karol Bagh market.

    Questions -

Are the bikes genuine and not stolen?

Good to buy from that market or directly from owner?

    Thanks

Dont buy from dealers , genuineity is a big questions.
Try sourcing one from OLX for fair deals

I would suggest buying directly from seller and not dealers. God know what parts have been changed. Olx, Quikr, Facebook marketplace etc ate a good place to find used bikes.

Hi! Got two bikes from these markets. A Dominar(2017) from Subhash Nagar (Graduate Motors) and a duke 390 (2014) for my best friend from Karolbagh (don't remember the name of the dealer, it was on the corner near Golden bikes crossroad).

Well, for the dominar, it had only been ridden for 2363 kms and I knew something was fishy. The guy told me that it is new, a fresh bike and nothing's wrong with it (the usual jargon). I test rode it, did a PDI, found no patent defects. 8 months down the line, I have spent around 10k additionally on the bike because I got to know from the SVC that it had been in an accident, the front fork was twisted, the instrument cluster was changed, so the new ODO started from 0. Must have been ridden at least 3k kms additionally. Con set was broken, bike used to tilt towards the left and also changed the chain set.

For the duke 390, it shut off before it could reach home. [emoji23][emoji23] (the fan wasn't working). This time I lambasted the dealer over the phone and threatened legal action. He got scared and agreed to repair it at his own cost. I didn't trust him so took the bike to the SVC. Changed the fan. Fortunately works like a charm now.

Better to buy directly from the owner

Even an owner can rip you off. Kindly check the service records.

Be careful with the owner too. Research well before buying.

I too have seen a lot of motovloggers vlogging at karol bagh showing off dirt cheap superbikes. The most popular dealership was one called saraswati motors ig. It had pretty much new bikes with really low kms on the odo and I was thinking how come they're actually selling it so cheap? Even if they get it for an insanely low price, they wouldn't really sell it for 0% profit, right? I wonder how that is so!? P.S. Not jumping to any conclusions.
                      Cheerio!
