    P180 doesn't cross 104 kmph.

    Guys, I recently got my 07' P180 UG3 serviced. They serviced it up quite a bit but not all. don't know what they did.

    After that it had a "tik tik" sound even when engine idles. I told them, the sound was rectified by them instantly ...

    Then on a freeway, I twisted accelerator upto full, road was straight & no pillion. These problems are faced:

    1. It doesn't go beyond 104 kmph .. Gearing is stock. RPM meter shows a bit more than 8 krpm something, but it doesn't accelerate beyond that ...

    2. It doesn't even touch 8.5 krpm in 4th gear. In 1st gear, it touches the 8.5 krpm, but feels sluggish after 7.5 krpm...

    3. Moreover, around 8 krpm, I hear "Bells" Sound... Maybe the Tappets?


    Could this be a side effect of my Silencer which leaked glasswool (hairs)?

    Any suggestions would be welcome before I show it again to SC ...

      If u want top speed, shift points are important. Shift gears at 9k RPM.

      Check ur air filter for blockage.There are many other factors, check ur tyre pressure,carb,engine oil and stuff.
      When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

        Yeah first check the basics like oil ,tyre pressure etc. and also see whether wheels are moving freely when on centre stand

          yeah do check the above mentioned things....i also hear some kind of sound..when i accelerate the bike when it is on 60 .....something like tak tak...then it gets resolved after 70....what u think.,..is it that tappet makingnoise..

            apart from other points you will be checking, make sure to check the cable going from carb side (tps) to cdi,if broken and/or not working can lead to low performence.also see if both plugs are working.
            and shave,oops remove those hairs coming out of exhaust,if that area is rusty may be its time to say bbye to that exhaust.......

              i think they have set the tappets too tight when you asked them about those noises ... go and tell them to set tappets again .

                @ samarth: Dude check with your fuel it might be adultrated !
                even my friend's r15 did'nt touch 110 kmph on highway because of adultrated petrol

                  same problem here

                  get piston rings and piston changed
                  also clutch plates and chain set
                  get your head decarbonised

                  and it will almost as good as new
                  Chrome rims and bling ? get a real life !

                    btw i crosed 103 kms on my kristal.....tho many performance mods...but still i think that pusalr shud take a lesseon frm its "lil sister" the kristal
                    and many of my friends bike too give dat "tik tik" sound aftr the engine stops...wat is it neway?

                      i think the main culprit here for the tik tik sound is the tappet...i think they need to be set properly...and as for the speed issue.....get the carb checked and re tuned.....also check the air filter......

                        this tik tik after engine stopped is the metal cooling .... the tik tik during idle is tappet noise

                          Maybe the Kristal should take some lessons on Speedo Error from it s bigger brother, the Pulsar

                            the pulsar shud really take a lesson....i got the speed thru a 220s speedo...coz the kristal's speedo went till 100(wen i was only at 87[acc. to the 220s speedo]) den sent out an audible 'ting' nd came 2 zero....got 103 aftr abt 25-30 secs aftr the speedo went 2 zero.
                            But didnt ment 2 offend ne1 thru my post.
