I checked all that you guys said. (the wheel movement, air pressure, oil level, petrol cleanliness test, etc.) and found nothing wrong.
Made some other checks too, (noise, idle rpm, etc.)

Finally, I took it to Bajaj Service Station. I had a talk with an Over Optimistic (!) mechanic:-->

ME - My Bike doesn't even touch 105 kmph. Gearing is normal. Please check everything thoroughly, the carb, the fuel line, the....

HE - What Mileage are you getting?

ME - Yes, even mileage is quite less when I recently checked. It was 27 kmpl.

HE - Ye baat hai kya? Ok ... (seems confident, He gets a screwdriver, twisted something on my bike's carbuerettor)

HE - now your bike will touch high speeds... Air Fuel Ratio was Rich!

ME - Arey, Did you really set the Air Fuel Ratio correct just now?!

HE - Yes, on carbuerettor it is set-able with deviations from units 0.4 to 1.75, assuming 1 as "normal" ...

    ME - On carbuerettor??

    HE - Yes!

ME - ?? Thik hai bhai - sahab, jaisa aap kaho ...

Now, I will rip it on the Vaishali Nagar Freeway (Ajmer) and justify his claims (Today/ Tomorrow) ... Guys, Any Comments on what the mechanic said?

The carb settings could be a factor. No harm in checking out if this works - let us know how you made out.

Guys, this time the ride was much better ... Torque has definitely improved.

It touched 106 but I'm sure it can go beyond on a straighter stretch ... Thanks for your helps.

Hey I had some problems with my bike too.
The mechanic had adjusted the screw you were talking about.
Did you see how he adjust it?
Did he tighten the screw completely and then loosen it to a specific number of turns?
          If yes how many turns?
I have to adjust mine as my bike too refuses to go beyond 98km/hr
          Mine is a 2008 p180DTS-i UG3

ur bike is running rich try to unscrew the air screw anti clockwise half a turn from orginal setin so to make the mixture less richer (say close to lean)

other way of checking "chek ur plug if it is brown ur r rich if the porcelain is white ur lean"

Bajaj has introduced speedo error in the new speedos which got this white background

Bad that Bajaj did that as the earlier digi speedos were very very accurate. Seems like they wanted to provide the customer a "feel-good" factor

I went to the service center yesterday, asked a mechanic there about the Volume screw on the carb. He said that it should be tightened all the way in and then opened 2.5 turns outside. he said this is a perfect setting for a p180UG3.

I wanna set it to 2.5 turns. Should I do it when the bike's hot or when the bike's cold?

'Carb tuning' must be done when the engine is already warmed up. Just setting the screw to 2.5turns can be done anytime.

Yes it is the other way round.
AFAIK the copper colored screw on the carb is the fuel screw. Unscrewing it will make the combustion richer and tightening it will make it lean

He asked about the 2.5 turns part and i replied for that only
