  • Chain set and sprocket

    Hi everyone!

I am new in Xbhp community and reason for my this post my motorcycles chain set.

I own a bajaj Dominar UG 2019 ( Green Savana) and the from chain sprocket (15T) is almost wear-ed out (depreciated), moreover it has impacted my chain as well which is obvious.

Now my question here is Can I use/fit a duke 390 sprockets + chain set in my dominar?
If not, Please suggest me any good website to order in budget (Bajaj price is Rs.3200)
    All suggestions are welcome .

    Thank you

    Re: Chain set and sprocket

    Topic Approved.

Please go through:- https://www.xbhp.com/talkies/univers...sprockets.html for some related info.

It might fit, but the only sure way is to try it. Go to a KTM showroom, and get a worn out set from them, if they're willing to give. Then you can try the fitment at a Bajaj Svc, and if it fits ok, then you can get a brand new kit from KTM on the same day. You can have a talk with another guy to assist you with this.

The fitment depends on 3 things:-

    1. front and rear sprocket fitment holes and cutout radius.
    2. Chain length, a little loose chain will fit with lesser life, but tighter than stock chain is not ok.. Formula is

Length of chain = chain links X first digit of chain pitch X 1/8 inch.

    All the best.
