Decarb really not needed unless , ur bike was on a rich AF setting. I remember u telling that ur bike was running rich, so check that out. Also,if u had used some high octance fuel, impure fuel, etc.
Swingarm bush is made of rubber only. It has to be replaced if the swingarm shows some movement sideways. It doesnt cost a bomb. When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

If you have a pillion, you will feel as if he/she is wiggling his/her butt on the seat.Originally posted by REVZ RACING View Post@insanebiker - i have one question.....how do u sense sideways movement of swingarm???......i.e. the play in the bush......i mean what would be the symptoms???......
thanks...

And people seeing you riding will feel as if you are drunk. Yes, your steering will weave from side to side. If you don not have any pillion, problem will decrease slightly. Also, higher speed will decrease the problem slightly.

Just put ur bike on the main stand , catch hold of the rear tyre with ur palm and try moving it sideways.
If u experience some play, then the swingarm bush should be changed.
U ll also experience some instability due to swaying of the tyre while moving in a straight line(especially while on road markers). When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

Dude,
I agree with you that the service centre guys in some places do not co-operate and act insane, but u must know that BAJAJ has a very good customer care centre maintained by the higher level guys and they would sure fire the insane service centre guys if they find them to be wrong, as their main concern is "customer satisfaction" you can mail them ur issues to [email protected] and they will definitely take this issue forward.
P.s. Dont think that i'm working for Bajaj, it's just my own experience thru this which helped me in solving lot of problems with my 200.
Whenever there is a Rainbow in the sky, I know it's u mastering the art of Cornering. U will always be remembered brother, R.I.P Arun.

yes, i do feel it!! but it is at the speeds of 50-60 kmph ( not dared to go beyond ).....the bike sways to either side...also steering weavs....with the pillion it decreases a bit.....after chaaging the tyre & removing wheel OUT, the wobbling has reduded but the swaying is still there.....

Try this to be sure. Swingarm bush costs around a 100 bucks! Not that costly.Just put ur bike on the main stand , catch hold of the rear tyre with ur palm and try moving it sideways.
If u experience some play, then the swingarm bush should be changed.

He is taking you for a ride.....Try Castrol Bike zone.....Its not awesome...but quite "good"....
Moreover, anything, even a layman sitting by the roadside claiming himself to be a mechanic is at least better than the buggers of bajaj....
They are the worst when it comes to service...
I have been suffering for the past 8 years at least....!
Swing arm bush are not metal....!

Swingarm bushes for pulsars would not even cost you 100 bucks...but labour would be something more than 150 Rs. depending upon the city and dacoits...!
As insane biker said, just a little play in your rear tyre would ensure that you need to change your swingarms...!2002 - Pulsar 150 Classic (Still owned)

2006 - Eterno (sold)

@devil - AFAIK there is no CBZ in mumbai-thane.....and our friend is from dombivli/thane......
also, is it advisable to get swingarm bush replacement done by a local mechanic rather than going to ASSC.....the labor charges will be less.....but only if it would be ok to get it done outside!!!......
