  • Rock hard gear shifts

    HI guys,

Yes the title is exactly the problem.
I have a P180 V1 and for the past 2 weeks have been suffering from gear shifts that are really really tight .

the engine oil level is optimum. and the clutch plates were repaired just a couple of months back.

any idea as to what could be the problem ?
just want to get a list of possibilities before i head on to a mech.

by loose do you guys mean that i should adjust the clutch release distance or the length of the cable ?

you need to tighten the cable, after some days the cable develops some play and it'll not be depressing the clutch completely so gear shifting becomes hard, I adjusted the cable and tightened it near the right side of engine, beside the engine oil refill cap

it had worn off so had it replaced.

Try getting the gear-shifter (gear-lever) adjusted..
I had the same issue when I had bought my ride a couple of months back.. Took it to the SVC, & the mech just opened the screw connecting the gear-shifter to the bike, & put it back in.. & voila, the gear-shifter became super-smooth..

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

                        Bajaj regular problem...
Well I suggest you first check your gear lever is fouling or not to the footpeg. if yes then reset if not then the problem is from inner side.
Either clutch is not disengaging properly while shifting the gear or gear selector (STAR SHAPE SPARE) is worn out. Or possibility of gear shifter. Please check these things.. I am sure it should work out..
