    Agreed that it is the stand which hits the ground .......

      My friend faced the same problem on his RTR. It is due to those cement speed breakers which are very high and they scrape against the engine guard.

      Just try to take the bike as slow as possible through these bumps to avoid damage.

      Don't u think it is a tough job to take a bike like APACHE as slow as possible ... After all do we think that speed breakers are meant for slowing down ... i drove other bikes like pulsar and unicorn ... they seem to have a marginal ground level ...... then why does APACHE has this issue

                i also had this prob for a week after the 4th service or so. the main stand screeches against all the speed breakers n when i m leaning very slightly. then i found out that the whole exhaust assembly was loose,ie, it pushes the main stand set up downwards n makes it touch the ground. When i said it to the mech at SVC, he adjusted something which joins the exhaust with the engine and hola!!everything is alright...no probs after that..

                @threadstarter,
                also adjust your shocks to 1-2 positions harder.,wont do much harm...

                  Yes, I think that speed breakers are indeed meant for slowing down. I have never had such an issue myself after having ridden on some of the worst roads and speedbreakers on them.
                  I feel something is out of place on your bike. Why dont you post some pics of the relevant parts of the bike?
