So U may lose only 1-2 days of college at the most!!!!
I guess I need some more practice before attempting the IBA run. Probably after a couple of long rides I would be in a position to understand my capabilities in a better sense.

Best of luck to the both of you!

I totally accept that 1000+ miles in 24 hours is not a great achievement on a bike.
But Please understand that we are in INDIA.
We have roads which Don't permit U higher speeds due to bad roads, Speed limits, Bad traffic sense, etc.
                        We are a developing Country.
Few Years ago if U say a 1000+ mile run in 2 days any1 will laugh & say its impossible but now 1000+ miles is not impossible but tough to Achieve.
Its not only completing the Run SAFELY but also getting all the proofs properly to get the certification done.
The Proofs part is Quite difficult - its difficult than completing the RUN SAFELY.

My intention is not starting a debate here.
I know people who missed the RUN by minutes that too due to lack of the proofs.
This is the main reason we are trying to plan it so much.

If U really feel 1000+ miles is not good enough then U can try out the extreme version in it which needs completion of 1500+ miles in 24 hours.
Please complete the RUN with proofs & become a trend setter for INDIA.
No one did it till now in INDIA.
I definitely would love to see UR name as the first 1 to achieve it.

Just catching up on this tread. All my good wishes to you guys on this attempt.

Just a small & silly question- Since most bike odometers are calibrated to over-read the distance, wouldn't a GPS be a better tool to give you the exact distance. Anyways, will you need to carry a spare speedo cable (or sensor) as well just in case...

Actually the IBA guys doesn't check the odo's. they need proofs like fuel bills, signatures of starting-ending witness/ATM receipts.
