Praful, may be it is logical to use System G, as the P220 is FI. I just went by the product lines.

well, i m still confused why the hell 2t oil used in tank? that is also for FI vehicle?
FI can be cleaned at service point which are only for FI cleaning and setting. coz they do have EFI cleaners for petrol cars.

But my Q still remain why they poured 2T oil

-Ask them how did they know that there is 2T oil in petrol? As in how did they exactly detect its 2T oil.
-I am not sure but if possible get the fuel pump cleaned.
-For the next 500 odd kays don't rev the bike to hard.
        Exactly! How did they know?

Praful, the Iftex product is a injection pump cleaner?

Well its not exactly a "cleaner" in true sense, its more of an additive that keeps stuff clean. More like maintenance, but there are "cleaners" specifically for this purpose available in the market too.

I did not say System G is not for carbs, its clearly mentioned that it can be used for both. But no where is it mentioned for System 2/3 that it is to be used for FI vehicles.
So which one should i opt for guys ??

            2/3 or G

My answer no one else did than a petrol bunk guy.. im not sure whether its 2t oil.. but the PBK guy sed like that.. and even one time i asked the petrol bunk guy whether its unleaded he sed yes.. sometimes the oil will be mixed with amount of percentage for the scooty kinda vehicle.. i think he must have mistakenly increased the oil mixture from 0- some amount.. even i dint notice properly.. but im sure that could be the reason..

There are few petrol stations which have dedicated fuel pump that combines the 2T oil while filling in. May be you might have filled it unknowingly.

instead of iftex, you could get your injectors cleaned. bosch (which makes the injectors in the first place) have injector cleaning machines. thats what the car guys do every now and then. find a workshop which has the machine or find one which will send them to bosch for you.

Please ignore for few hundred kms.

My two paise.... please ignore the smoke from the exhaust or the drop in performance (which I am sure must be very marginal) for few hundred kms.

I was recently storing my RD350 for the rains, so simply drained the 2t mixed petrol into my bike. I too noticed some smoke when revving hard at neutral. I then simply filled up the tank with fresh petrol to dilute the 2t.

Trust me.... my bike is doing just fine...

That's all nice and fine if your bike has a carburetor and you love to have your entire combustion chamber and exhaust full of soot. Not to mention the fact that your spark plug is probably going to fail early because of that.

Really, don't mess with any kind of oil in the fuel of a 4 stroke, it will cause trouble. As for fuel injected bikes, you're likely going to have to clean everything as has happened to the topicstarter.

dude i'm in bangalore! what you can try is going to a non company authorised car service center and ask them if they do it - some of them give the injectors to bosch to do. they will probably give you pointers on how to give it to bosch yourself or may even do it for you.
