  • After market projectors

Guys i'm in search for after market projectors.

Any help on its availability and its quality would be nice.

I am in bangalore right now.

And is the projector from the 220 available without the entire kit . I mean with out the headlight assembly only the projector.

I do not 'think' that just the projector is available. But then I have known to be wrong!

      ^^+1 to that.

For after market projectors, check out some car accessory/modifying shops. You'll get one there for sure.

Let alone just the projector, the entire headlight assembly has to be purchased in case the headlight perspex-covering has cracked etc.
So, considering that the old P150's headlight assy. used to cost 550 bucks, i'd say you're gonna have to shell out about 2k for the P220's setup.

i did some home work . called up a few auto shops and e-mailed a few.

One guy e-mailed me that they use the projectors form the 220 as fog lamps and that you do get it separately. well will have to confirm that still.

he also sent me pic of a different projector.. He didnt quote a price yet. i have attached a pic of it.

Went to a shop on JC Road today (for buying gloves, that I didn't find )..
The shopwala asked me if I wanted projectors for my R15.. He quoted 2250 bucks for 2 projectors.. Imported ones I believe..
You'll have to pay extra for the bulbs though.. plus he quoted installation charges of 1000 bucks for the projectors, if you want it installed by him that is..
You can PM me if you want further details..

Just the headlight assembly with bulbs will set you back by 3.8K.

Next up you will have to mod your bikes electrical setup, coz its a 35W setup. The bulbs in the 220's assembly are 55W.

I am not sure, but I think the Avenger Coil setup should work for you. But then your bike is AC and DC so there will be a drop in light intensity once you drop on the revs.

hey how much does it cost? Any idea?

Does it work with dual beam halogen lamps or even HID Bi-Xenon?
Or is it like we have to use single filament bulbs in such projectors? I guess we will need one for high beam and another one for low beam?

Err check your nearest pro-biking svc center, they might have the projector setup from an accident damage bike for cheap.

But then, suppose one does get the projector lamp, how to go about making the housing for it. How can someone fit it in an existing headlamp ?

Ask some car modifying shop , they can fabricate a custom housing too . i had angel lamps+projectors made for a baleno from delhi . they did not have a housing so they fabricated it .
