If fact, just grippier tyres made my P180's braking a bit better than RTR's, atleast on first look.

Do try the R15 front tyre. It's good at grip, as apart from being Soft Compund, it also has more rubber contact patch ...
thnx... i'll try R15's. do u knw how much dey cost?
n wat bout the rear RTR tyres, they are equally bad. I tried out 100/90 profile, but the enginw response was not good. so changed back to normal.

R15s' tyres are the best.... i'm running them on my P150 since last monday... was hard to locate them.... got the rear for 1550 and front for 950... the low profile doesn't makes the bike lose any grip... and it looks nice on the 150... or for the matter of fact, any bike other than the R15..
road grip, breaking and acceleration has improved phenomenally and cornering has become a piece of cake...

not at all suitable for offroading. i had one hell of a time when it got stuck on a marshy road. if you are having any ideas of off roading with this tyre, its a very bad choice... but on the highways its amazing. like i said, it heats up pretty soon and sticks well too... potholes?? come on bro all tyres take a beating there.
the only negative side is that it wares faster than the stock MRF zapper... i have a feeling mine would last for another 6,000 kms(done 1,000 kms), front would last longer maybe a 3k more.

if you are getting it changed, go for the set... donot change only 1... the full effect cannot be felt with just one of them....

and yeah.... u would have to search for them, they are not available anywhere. i had to wait for almost a month. and even if the tyres are sold at a price more than i've quoted, go for them... they are a sure value for money!

I agree and disagree.... 15000 KMs on my R15 since february, it has seen mud, slush, rocks and what not! and It can still go on for a while....

( I am hunting for replacement as a nearly bald tyre is not exactly fun in rain)

what i meant was the full workability of the tyre.., but its performance and efficiency drops over the 8k mark.. maybe its the driving style...

IS IT TRUE, R15 TYRES WARES FAST. and also HOW TO RECOGNIZE A 'SOFT COMPOUND' TYRE?

I beg to differ as i have clocked close to 10k and my tyres are still in good shape except for 2 punctures.. depends on how rough you use the tyres...

I am planning to go for the rear R15 tyre as well. However due to lack of funds I can only upgrade (Actually downgrade) one tyre and not the whole set.
Currently, Ihave the tubeless Zapper C 120x80/x17 fitted on my bike.
I think due to its size, my stability has gone for a toss . So now I am planning to downgrade to a 100x80x17/110x90x70. Since there is dearth of 17 inch tyres though of getting the R15 tyre .
My front tyre is default one.

                              Want to know:

                              1. If there will be change in the stability?
                              2. Will Acceleration improve?
                              3. Will mileage increase / decrease?

I am really just looking for stability more than anything else at the moment. If there are any other rear tyres I should look at please suggest!

yes. well obviously, lesser the tyre profile, less will he load on the engine.
                                1. acceleration will increase.
                                2. mileage will also increase a bit.
                                3. BUT if u want stability try for 100/90.
100/80 will be halka. U'll get better stability and the right amount of heaviness u needed. Try MRF-ZAPPER-Y or C.

                                happy riding. .
                                give our reviews.
