  • Need more front end grip. How?

Hi guys, if by decreasing the height of my front forks will it give me more front end grip to my pulsar 200cc DTSI or there is any other way to get more front end grip and one more thing my bike is not more than a year old.

      No need for modifying forks.
Need more grip? Replace your front tire with the rear tire of R15.
      INSTANT grip increase!

^^ why not the front tyre of the R15.

-Alternatively you could try lowering front tyre pressure slightly.

-What kind of surface are u looking at increasing grip on? tarmac, dirt, dust, offroad???

            - Under braking only? or overall, during cornering also??

Try the R15 or FZ front tyre. Both are brilliant on road

i fell from my bike at low speed, because of loose soil spread over usual tar roads when i used the disc break and that's the reason which prompted me to go for more front end grip and may be by changing the tyre might work. if i change the front tyre to a fz 16 tyre then do i need to change the wheel.

Is it possible to have Ninja 250R tyre front and rear on pulsar 200 with out changing the wheel.

mate rather than doing that, you need to be more careful about your riding style and braking also. Fatter tyres wont necessarily give you better braking or control. they will also slide/lock equally.

Braking on loose soil on tar roads is tricky, best is to spot such a patch and slow down enough in advance to be able to negotiate comfortably.

nice query there brah even i was looking for exactly same mod .. i have seen some friends fell on gravel , slippery surface on pulsor just bcoz of front tyre.. at least it looked like the front tyre lost its grip that time.

one thing i was loooking farward was reducing the front tyre dia to sth like 17" [stock =18"] and then fitting a soft compound low profile there on slightly wider rim but less wider the rear , this will give disk brakes a advantage bcoz of torque leverage and fatter contact patch [think of replacing 240mm disk with 260 mm or equivalent] and that will asure me of Not falling.

since u own pulsor try 16" , speedo error however then require additional effort to calibrate.

this is what ive experienced on dads SUV..... while taking corners, if the tire pressure is kept 2-4 ps lower, tires surface area increases... thus it holds road well.... if ur supposed to keep for ex; 28ps in the front , keep 26 or 27... but maintain the pressure... don let it go below that.... if the proper tire pressure isnt working out, this is one possibility... or else go for a good soft compound front tire...one that u feel is worth...
