Your front tire or tube is out of shape. You will notice this, when u remove the wheel and observe it after deflating it and removing from rim/alloy. Give this a try and update.

      Confusion continues

      Guys,,

Yesterday evening i again checked my bike with a different front wheel(i mean alloy, tyre and disc the whole set) of my friend's P180 UG3, and found that the problem exists with the new wheel also. His alloy and tyres are brand new one since he replaced them jst before a day due to an accident and i'm pretty sure that all 3 of the new one has no faults. So now i have to rule out these 3 entities, (i.e.,) tyre, alloy and disc tilt.

And also as per the real fact if there's any fault with the tyre or if the alloy is bent the shake should exist even at a minimum speed and increase in magnitude as the speed increases.. But y should it start particularly when i cross 60 kmph and start decreasing when i cross the mark of around 70+ and vanish completely at around 80 or so.. Even my usual SVC mechanics and Service manager are literally confused with this issue... Yesterday night after seeing the issue continuing even with my friends wheel assembly, the service manager is now advising me to go for a fork replacement except the stem and shock tubes.

Even i'm ready to change the fork but i'm confused that is it the exact culprit and i can't shell a considerable amount out of my pocket if it's not gonna give me the exact remedy. The Service guys are also not giving me the mail id or phone no to contact Bajaj Auto for getting my problem recitified. The mail id corresponding for Tamilnadu that is there in the owner's manual is also not fruitful and when i tried sending a mail about the issue, it bounces.. Please help me guys..

I'm left out without any solution for making my ride back to normal..

man this is something. the wheel rotating freely and then grabbing can be due to the disc bend or something, but why only at a particular speed.

When you got the front forks opened, did the mechanic measure the front fork springs? were they of equal length?? This is really confusing.

Dude, ride with a pillion. preferably a heavy one, and let me know if this increases the wobbling. If the wobbling increases, check rear swingarm bushes, alloy, tyre and bearing.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

I guess the wobbling will decrease with a pillion.

                Ray of hope

                Hi guys....

                Thanks for all your contribution.

Actually i tried it even with two ranges of pillion light(my bro weighin 45kg and a heavy pillion weighing 87kg) and to my bad luck it's still there.

Finally i'm getting a small ray of hope. I mailed my problem to Bajaj directly to [email protected] mentioning all the services done and the parts replaced till now and the happenings on saturday evening at 5.30pm. To my surprise i got an immediate reply from Bajaj at 5.50pm along with a confirmation to assist in resolving my issue. Also i got an SMS from Bajaj too. Also i got a call from the regional Service manager of Bajaj Auto's for Tamilnadu Zone Mr. Baradhan the same evening at 7pm and he asked me clearly about all the problems. He told me that Bajaj will surely assist in getting my problem solved and asked me for a convenient date and my choice to choose a city where would i like to get my bike done. I told that i'll leave my bike on 15th in Coimbatore and he gave me the contact details of the Service manager Mr. Peter there and also told that he will convey the details of my prob and assured that things will be done right.. Today morning i got a call again from Mr.Peter and he asked all the details and requested if it's possible for me leave my bike tom since 16th and 17th will be holidays here in Tamilnadu for Diwali and 18th will be a Sunday. I said yes and will ask one of my friends to leave the bike in SVC and gave the Reg. No of my bike. He told me that it's alrite and assured that he'll personally take care and get the problem resolved out. I'm really getting a ray of hope in the way i got response frm Bajaj. Let me see if my issue gets resolved out this time..

I have this issue from 12K on the odo. When i ride with pillion the handle shake vanishes almost 80%. Previously the shake was in the range to 52-58kmph now the margin is extended 50-60 Kmph. Also i have noticed when i turn the handle to the left the action is little tight, but if i turn to right it moves freely. I just changed new cone set and suspension oil 2000Km before. After reading this issue here, I checked the rear sprocket there is little play in the sprocket bearing and also checked the rear wheel bearing there is minor play.

                    Guys..

As i said in my previous posts, i aksed one of my friend to leave the bike in Coimbatore's ALAGENDRAN BAJAJ as asked by Bajaj since i'm out of town for my work. I clearly explained the corresponding Service manager and Senior Mechanic who was alloted to work on my bike. He too understood my explaination in the local language and assured me of getting things done. They promised me of returning my bike within Thursday adn surprisingly today jst an hour ago, i got a call from them stating that my bike is done... Mr. Peter also called me in Person and said the senior mech who worked on my bike told that things are fine and he'll personally take a long drive and check it out whether the shake exists. I'll be back in town by tom morn and he said he'll explain the whole of prob what were looked upon. Now praying for my bike to become normal and keeping fingers crossed..

Will update you guys with the works carried out and parts replaced bu tom even..

                        Dear Friends,

My Honda shine had a similar problem of shakky handle (due to accidents). Couple of time i've told these service guys to check the same, but they could not fix the issue. At last i've taken my bike to DTW, Bangalore (Down Town Works) near Shanti Nagar. He rode my bike and with 10 mins he fixed the issue don't know how. I would recommend DTW, if you are in Bangalore

Buddy i checked for alloy and disc bends.. They are perfectly fine. But my mech says that there's a slight degree of tilt in my front disc. But he couldn't assure me that as the cause for the shake... Weird prob causing me to worry a lot..

I can feel the sake even when my hands are on the handle dude. To be exact it is not wobbling, it sways to make short vibrational circle like shakes, that too in a large magnitude when i cross some 65kmph.. once my wrist watch straps got off due to the shake when i try pushing my bike with tht shake.. Couldnt tolerate at all.. help me guys..
u've mentioned that u "had a check for the bent fork and rectified it too"... u've straightened the forks back out...

dunno if that's prolly why... even a minor bend would coz a wobble after a certain speed.

u also need to check ur swingarm... just to be sure.

this accident... where exactly was the impact??? was it only at the front end? did ur brother fall over too? how qucik was he riding? coz it may hav damaged the swingarm. just a possibility.

                            Problem Solved Finally..

                            Hi guys..

Sorry for the late post since i was busy with my bike and my girl for diwali. As i was informed by the service manager to take delivery of my bike, i reached Alagendran Bajaj on 15th exactly at 12pm. Mr. Peter was waiting for me and he took me to the service bay along with the Senior mech who worked on my bike.
Both of them clearly explained all the works carried on my bike.

1)The entire bike was dismantled and a detailled Chasis alignment was done (even though the accident was a minor one, they told they dont wanna give a chance anymore)

2)Checked the swing arm bushes and both the front and rear wheel bearing alignments.

3)Complete fork overhauling and checked for fork bend, replaced the fork oil seal, cone set, fork oil, damper spring stifness and replaced the damper springs.

4)A thorough check for alloy bend, tyres, disc tilt and again re-assembled things and everything were fine now.

Got a reasonable bill of 450 bucks that includes a wax polish..

Took a long test drive of my bike inside the city at varying speeds between 40-80kmph and consistently at 60-90kmph in a highway and my bike was back to normal and there was perfectly no shake in my bike.

Am happy with the way that Bajaj reacted to my issues and helped me in getting my bike normal. Am really impressed with the Customer service provided by Bajaj, proud to be a Bajaj customer.
