@Abhi - There is a slight different from your version. Mine is not H4. Osram HS1 35/35w. Unicorn came with HS1 and I did not change any holder type etc. I guess that's the difference. I think so..

The best part of this mod is the service people don't even get a hint that the stator has been changed, as the Avenger stator is a direct fit. So no issues regarding warranty.

The Avenger 200's stator is not a direct fit on Pulsars.

one more point above setup will not work in P150 dtsi round headlamp version......the stock ones are waste.....MICO halogen bulbs are a straight fit and they provide btr illumination than stock

I do own a Unicorn and it comes with H4 Holder not the HS1. I am running my bike on DC with Osram NM 55/60w. And i need not say more about how Osram NB works.

There you go.. you run on DC and with higher wattage. If you read my post, never said the one installed on my unicorn was a Osram NB or it is 55/60w.

Even I thought Osram would be better than Philips. Reality bites..May be better wattage Osram would produce better power, however, the one installed Orsam 35/35w on my bike sucks big time. Philips was much better.

What he said is that Uni has H4 not HS1 type bulbs!

I guess there is lot of difference between the 2005 and present day Unicorn models wrt to bulbs.

What I have on my 2005 model and it came with HS1 and not H4.

May be he is refering his current set up which is H4 which he states that he has converted to DC.

I'm not saying Osram NB sucks, only the HS1 type 35/35w bulb does. What he is refering is to a different type altogether. HS1 and H4 are not same. H4 are generally used for LCV and above, so; naturally if he had installed one, should be uncomparable to 35/35w. Am I correct?

Hmm now I know even i was having something like HS1 ( I am not sure) on my classic CBZ & it was bad as it gets..

Best bet for U bro.. change over to new Reflector of New Gen Unis & Install H4 bulbs

if it is possible..

Else go for a Typical Round doom of Fx or yezdi &put H4 bulbs

M runing on H4 in a Fiero Fx doom & it is way better than stock

Does new Gen Unicorn has a H4 bulb 35/35w even if I get the new gen Uni reflector? let me know... as I do not want to modify any of present electrical system/doom which will support 35/35w only.

Parellely will check out with the Honda dealer on this..

I've been wondering, what could the possible outcomes be if I were to replace the Stator Plate of my P180UG3(or the P200) with that of the Avenger (Part No: DV111005, like you suggested), but retain the original Halonix 35/35W bulb that came with my bike (or the cheap -INR 90/- 'White' 35/35W one that I've got from one of the AM shops in Pune)? Would the higher wattage stator plate burn out the bulb or what? Also, has anyone got an idea of which bulbs to use for the 'pilot lamps' of the Pulsar once you change the main headlamp to white using HID or Osram NB or whatever? Keeping the original yellowish pilot lamps with a white headlamp doesn't look so good at night.I've tried the AM 'white' pilot lamp bulbs that come for Rs 10-15 a piece, but they're very very unreliable –hardly lasted a full week each time I've replaced them!

err.... For better lighting during night driving. Sometimes a lot of objects on the road don't become visible (illuminated is what I mean) untilthey're too close for comfort. Besides I've noticed, that with the 35/35W AM 'white' bulbs (which give out a good-looking whitish color), the light doesn't seem to 'reach' too far out on the road in front while riding. My original Halonix 35/35W would put out quite a decent light, but then I was a little unsatisfied with the yellowish color and so replaced it.

P.S. Please don't suggest an HID mod.

No, no! I meant why do you want to fit a Avenger Stator and still use a 35/35 h/l as before? Avenger stator mod is done to fit a 60/55 h/l!

Do U mean to say that you are gona change d statort plate to that of Avy 180s & still keep the stock 35w bulbs. ?

Why dont U put 55w i/o 35w of same halonix bulb ??

U do not want to change any electricals if u want to use same 35w bulbs in H4 as in new gen Unis..

If u r installing Avy 180s stator plate please do also change the bulb to that of Avy which is 55/60w & costs a mere 80-90 Rs & it will be worth a change with better lighting

Actually, I didn't know how much a decent 55/60w bulb would cost (except for the Osram NB, of course... and hence I was considering keeping the 35/35W for some more time). Thanks for your help man.

Could someone also point me in the direction of a good white bulb now please?
