Rewind the coil and put APE RR Unit.
Upgrade the battery as well to 7ah or 9ah.

It failed in my case. With help of Rahul and Abhi I did it for my Uni and it didn't help in anyway. APE RR is a reliable solution, Unicorn and CBZ shares more or less the same type of wiring. You can check this thread.

Even i have the same query....9ah and 7ah...of amaron...How much does it cost...??? How about saving the precious power of battery by putting in some led light on the tail light....Credits to abhijeet.....

@OP, firstly what exactly do you want to run? HID? 60/55W? or more?

I want to run a 60/55w or more if possible and along with that I want an all DC bike.

Best for you would be to rewind the coil and use APE RR unit. Else, if you want 35W DC (for HID) you can use my custom rectifier.

I will vote for APE or Minidoor RR both are good and reliable for the mod. I am using it for the past 2 months without any issues. Onlything is it will become a full DC one once u switch to this RR, so minor wiring mods are required. For using a halogen I dont think the RR swap is required. Just do the rewinding and see how it works.

What are the small wiring mods required, can you help me regarding those? Also, How to make connections with APE RR or is it a straight fit??

Got the APE RR unit, Now tell me what to do next. Coil rewinding will be done by tomorrow.

The new RR will not be a direct snap on, pull out the stock rr, u need to cut wires from the coils,(Dont know about the CBZ stock wire guage, if its thickness is as same as the coil out wires, cut the wire from the socket where the stock rr connects) re route it thru thicker guage wires to the new RR input, its grey wires for the AC input, output is yellow or red to be connected to the batt directly or u can find the wire of the stock RR conecting socket out wire feeding the batt. and body is ground. so dont forget to bolt this to the chassis. Other change is the light wire re routing, find out the stock rr out wire for the lighting, tap there, if u r not sure about the connections, better u get an auto electrician's help, else, u may smoke the harness. Since you r convertin it to full DC all the main loads to be thru a relay and thicker wires for saving the stock switch. And the powering the relays to be from the ign switch, so when the switch is off u can make sure that everything is off.
