You and your love for 2 strokes amazez me

bro, regarding oil pump, i would suggest you to go for pre-mix as if pump stops working, you can't able to know it and hence forth you end up with engine seizure
Till date I've been using the oil pump for feeding 2t oil, will take heed to your advice too

And yes one thing i like to remind you that " ENGINE OIL AND 2T OIL ARE DIFFERENT "
    kab tak bolta rahega?

get your's kiho oil changed too
    Will look into that
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

I am getting 42-47 in decent riding between 40 to 50 kmph. Lowest I get is 33 when I ride at 70-80 kmph.

            Re: Problem in Kinetic Honda

Mine is a 1988 model done about 90k as of today. It's been very sparingly used since 1998. As part of regular maintenance every 3k or 6 months I get following done.
            1.Air filter cleaning.
            2. Spark plug clean and adjust.
            3. Clutch service and Greasing.
            4. Oil pump check and bleeding.
            5. Front shock and trailing arm service.
            6. Carburettor tuning.

            Maintain recommend tyre pressures.
Fill fuel from reputed bunks like shell only.
Used good quality semi synthetic 2T oil.

As I said previously lowest mileage I get in peak stop and go traffic or high speeds has been 30+ & Maximum mileage was 47.

Also at 70K mark I had got it re bored as there was loss of power.

                  Re: Problem in Kinetic Honda

Carburettor tuning depends from engine to engine. One needs to do it after air filer us cleaned and refitted. You would need to increase the idling to about 3000-4000 rpm until you hear engine hunting then tighten the air screw until the seat and start opening it slowly. Until you get maximum RPM.Dp not loosen it beyond 1 1/2 turns.

Hi Vinay, very few people would get all these maintenance jobs properly. I am sure it would take good amoutn of time. What does your mechanic charge for all the listed jobs and how much time does he take to finish them. Please add a pic of your Kinetic, I have always liked the good ol 2Stroke Kinetic Honda.

                      Hi.

I have know a head mechanic from advaith then authorised Kinetic dealer. Have been going to him 1990. I used to take tge vehicle for service in 3-6 month or 4000 Km. Initially he used to charge 120/- as the inflation took on last time I guess I paid him 350/- take it to his residence over the weekend and takes about 2 hours including a wash. I have give the kinetic to my domestic help since last 6 months.

                      As I ride a Duke390 now

                            Re: Problem in Kinetic Honda

I hear a kreech-kreech sound while accelerating. What may be the problem?
Sometimes when I go over a bump, It gives a whistle sound. I am confused whether it is from the wheels(Tyres) or Rear shock absorbers? I don't think the problem is with tyre because only day before yesterday i reworked on tubes.
Any solution for both these things?
Also How to check whether my Oil Pump is working?
