Even there are people here who have taken an 'unexpected' bike having much lesser power. Just ensure, the bike should be best in its health.
With pillion should not be a problem. Tons of people have done it. Just the pillion & you should be comfortable for this. Also luggage should be a concern. All the best.!

Carrying luggage matters a lot. He packed up entire stuff in just saddle bag and tank bag (For both).
