    Bar-end weights for Activa

    Hi all,
    I own a 4 year old Activa and am happy with it.
    Is it possible to attach bar-end weights on it?
    I heard that the Dio now comes with them. So is it possible to get the Dio end weights and fix it on the Activa?
    Can it be done? How?

      Bar end weights are meant for bikes and not for scooters since the scooter's handlebar(the whole) part is normally heavy.

      And, why you want to install Bar end weights in the first place ?

        Most probably the new bar weights from Honda Dio will fit. Go to SVC and try.

          Thanks for your reply.
          My handlebar starts shaking madly after 40hm/h. Hence I thought installing the end-weights might help.
          If not, sorry. I have not understood the purpose of it fully.

            Activa shaking at 40kmph? It happens to me only if i leave both the hands and ride at low speeds...

            Its cumbersome to make the allen screws of bar end weights, fit for the OEM activa handle bar.
            You can go to JC road and enquire for an after market handle bar for activa.
            Else buy the DIO handle bar with weights and fit it. looks like its a plug-n-use

                  I'm extremely sorry for bringing this up here in this discussion but I've been asking everyone this. No one seems to have an answer:
                  Can I get a halogen bulb for my Activa? You see the mount is not the same as any other HS1 or H4 halogen bulb. It looks like a bayonet mount.
                  Any idea where I can get them in Bangalore? Do you know any retailers?

                    well, even i was thinking of having a good halo lamps for my activa, was riding in a dark lane near jayanagar today, the stock lights were CRAP!

                    better put up this Q in the Lighting thread, there are many lighting guru's who can help you out there

                    If it doesn't work out, i may use the headlamp unit of an AUTO, mount it on the mud guard, the same way as in the auto and use it for good beam spread

                      Does the new Dio comes with real end weights as in Pulsar's or dummy plastics as in Unicorn ?? If its dummy plastic then its waste of money..

                      I think you can directly put in halogen bulbs coming for new activa.

                      To put real end weights, go to some mech, tell him to remove handle, get a strong washer welded with bolt in it which can fit the end weight. Thats all. Its a simple job.

                      For handle shaking, better get your cone set checked rather than bothering about end weights.

                        The shaking is probably becuse of loose fork or a bad cone set. Ask the SVC guys to check for this. Activa will not shake its handle at 40.

                              Hei i recently saw an Fazer which had the Bar End Weights which had Integrated Lights in it....(it looked really cool)

                              I just wanna know is this is available with the Stock Fazer or it is an Aftermarket one...

                              Can one tell me how much it costs?
