Ceat Vertigo 120/80-18 tubeless for the rear! Look no further. you can keep the front as stock.

Michelin M45 is better than Ceat Vertigo. Praveen from Banglore toured on M45 for 25k all over India. M45 is a proven all round tyre.

Ravi, Is that a 120? Would it be a over kill for the ZMR with the Rear Disk? Would the stock MRF tyre hold up any good on that sort of terrain?

            Also, Any idea about FKR - Fung Keong Rubber : Ranger 2: 120/80 x 18 (rear) ??

I would suggest Vertigo over M45. During our ride to Leh we had Vertigo one of the ZMA's.. and u will love those buttons over there.. than a M45. also it cost only 1400 and is tube less.. It was doing pretty good on road as well.. pretty good grip.

but if u have some more money i would say Sirac

Stock MRF also u can ride, no problem. But you wont get the confidence what u get on a Sirac/Vertigo.
If you like to offroad a bit try these tires. I will suggest a offroad tire , u will love it if you like to thrash

Totally agree. Both Nitin and I keep riding on CEAT Vertigo tubeless for the rear for thousands of kilometres of both off-roading and on road exercises. For such trips, I would not use anything else now. But if it is exclusively tarmac, then I would stick to stock.

In front I am however using Duros.

I know people have already begun replacing the rear, some just after taking delivery. In my personal opinion, I for one would stick to stock for a few thousand kilometers and then look at replacement.

An M45 or Sirac should be ideal for dual-purpose. I know a few folks using the Siracs as tubeless on their ZMAs with no issues till date!

And BTW, if you are replacing the tubeless Zapper, give it to me, I would like to test it

If you can get your hands on the FKR, pick it up at any cost! Men have fought wars on roads using the FKR . The only issue is that it is hard to locate.

Yes, choose a Offroad tyre. It will great on that hard & tough terrains. Even my MRF Meteor proved great on that land. Though its with tube, but gave superb handling even in the gravel.

Thanks Ashwin. I;m still not comfortable switching over to another tyre so soon, but for the dream trip. Would look out for a CEAT Vertigo.. Any idea if that

M45 provides excellent grip but as it is soft compound it is more easily pront to punctures & that is where dual purpose tyres like Ceat Vertigo/ Sirac / Dunlop Monster can do very well.

I have been using Vertigos for more than 16k kms & it still looks new & I do not see any much wear on those tyres.

The FKR is a tubed type tyre.
