    +1 to that.
I got myself an XElement mesh jacket with CE armour (only the back armour is foam) and a pair of joe rocket's Rocket Nation gloves from US and asked my brother to bring it with him.
    Total cost - Rs 4500/-
This is a steal when compared to the price of Joe Rocket's Rocket Nation gloves which cost Rs 4000/- alone (as per performance racing store)

      All weather Jacket

      Hi Friends

Tried searching the threads for reviews of DSG Nero, DSG Triton & Cramster Breezer 4.0.

I basically need an all weather jacket, so which one would be the best.

Any other jacket under Rs 7000, with CE approved armours are also welcome by me. (pl do not suggest Alpine star, which has a foam based padding for back, hence the jacket as a whole with armour will cost me around 9K or more)

      All valuable suggestions are welcome

      regards
Every time i am able to change my bike's engine oil, i feel like passing another semester amongst thousands, of being a proficient rider.

        Guys,

Witnessed a road rage accident today morning and luckily not much damage to the victim. Seriously considering riding gear now cause I saw how that guy got tossed from his bike and hit the tarmac.

After going through the thread, was wondering if anybody owns or has used DSG Falcon range of jackets... worth the cost I guess. A*'s are almost out of reach for many of us for regular use, and DSG seems to make some really varied number of jacket types when compared with Cramster's range (as far as I can see in their website).

Hyderabad biker's, kindly chip in store information in our city for good riding jacket, this will help people reconsider their road safety.

Hi everyone, even I am looking for a good riding jacket and ideally my budget should have been Rs5000 or less however by increasing the budget by Rs500 more (i.e. Rs5500) I get a whole lot of options more!

          My choices are given below:

          1) DSG Falcon Rs 3800 water repellant, no removable lining, no 3M, mesh jacket
          2) DSG Nero Rs 5500 water+warm removable lining, 3M, mesh jacket
          3) DSG Phoenix Rs 5500 water+warm removable lining, 3M, mesh+leather
          4) Cramster Breezer Rs5500 water+warm removable lining, 3M, mesh
          5) Cramster (something) Rs4500 only water removable lining, 3M, mesh (not listed in website)

I believe that maximum protection is given not by the CE approved elbow, back & shoulder armours but rather by the material of the jacket. I believe this because in a high speed accident all armour will break along with the bones. In low speed accidents there are much fewer fractures but much worse road rash/burns which the jacket material protects against and not the armour. All this said the armour is an important aspect of safety but material plays the major role and nothing beats leather in that respect.

In that sense DSG Phoenix is the best bet! But I have personally been to the cramster store (when i went to buy the twister gloves) and was very impressed with their Breezer jacket! I also saw the Rs4500 jacket there (the one not listed on the website) and I liked it because it was cheap but I dont think it will protect as well as the other heavier jackets. Also what about this Cramster Pulse? Has that been discontinued since it is neither listed in the website nor did i see it at the store.

I would appreciate any and all feed back that fellow members have on the above listed jackets, especially DSG Falcon (since it is the cheapest) and DSG Phoenix (since in my opinion it is the best VFM).

I think DSG Phoenix is the best bet. One of my friend uses it and he is very happy with it. Its not bulky, has an inner lining and the overall fit and finish is good. I think you can also check RJays Swift :- Rs.5999/- though.

              hey Plasma,
You are wrong with DSG Phoenix. It doesn't have leathers. DSG Maze (Mesh) has leather shoulders, cuffs & waist fasteners.
I am using DSG Maze myself & believe me, I must have used it more in this short period of buy. I bought it in Aug'2011 & I am completely satisfied with it. I wear daily to office. Since it's mesh, it circulates air pretty good. In winters, I wear a raincoat over it.

Just a curious one here......why did not you go for Cramster Breezer, it comes with a water inner liner?? Hence you need not have a rainwear separately (intended only for light/moderate rains, since in heavy rains its almost impossible to ride altogether....issues like vision, traction n all)

i would just have one question to all who are looking for jackets that cost very less. just ask one question to urself, would u have broken bones, road-rash on skins and pain for months in hospitals or spend a little more on the gear?? i am not saying you should only wear A* (I myself use the DSG mesh) but pls dont compromise on gear for a thousand or two. you would save much more than that on hospital and medic bills by getting protection on just one fall. So fellow bikers, pls when u start saying "I dont have the budget" pls think if you said the same thing before going in for that 'fast bike' which is defintely much mote than the 'expensive' gear you are bargaining for. its your life so pls think twice and ride safe.

check the "universal riding gear" thread
                          the search works wonderfully well
i am not brand conscious but i wud strongly recommend buying spartan odysseus jacket [& riding pants]
