I wanted to know how to set the tappets on a Bajaj Boxer AT and the Pulsar 180DTS-i UG3. A DIY thread would be very helpful.

Its there in the Service manual for the P180 UG3 available at http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/pit-stop...df-format.html
But you need special tools. Feeler Gauge 0.01~1mm, Tappet Holder, Valve Adjusting Screw Holder. Not sure if these are available in the market. Plus im not sure its a DIY thing unless you are an experienced person.

bajaj service tools are available.. so are for HH, and yamaha... let me know if you need any particular tool.

here a guide for car, but for bikes its nearly the same. ill see if i can find more information. or will take pics the next time tappets on my R15 are being adjusted.
edit - found something for the splendor type engine, but when you open the head of the bike, its pretty much the same.

a tutorial on r15 tappet adjustment will be really apriciated as kolkata yamaha svc sucks big time at it dam mechanics dont want to do tappets and it they do it they make it worseComment

they dont adjust the tappets and none of the yam svc have fi dioganstic tool required to adjust the fi becoz of which am getting such a bad mileage man i am dying hereComment
