yes it is, but you will have to mod a lot of the oil system. and frankly not needed on the hunk.

      - KTM Duke 200
      - Yamaha RXZ 5 speed

^^I will second that, an oil cooler is not really needed for a Hunk, though if you intend to make you bike look "cooler" with oil cooler you can opt for a non-operable one.

the oil cooler will improve the performance of the hunk in long drives bcoz it will cool down the bike constantly.
but it needs a lot of work & money.
better u sell of ur bike & buy a zmr or p-220

On a personal note, i dont assume it would be worth the effort and time.
since we now have a quite some options regarding bikes with liquid cooled engines, its better to go for a new bike instead of adding this complicated feature in the engine.

Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

can ny one tel me, what is the mechanism of the oil cooler? How it cools the engine oil?
How the zmr is fitted with the oil cooler? does it has a bigger/stronger oil pump to pump up the oil to the cooler and what is the e.oil capacity in zmr?
What are the modifications required to fit an oil cooler in normal engine?

WoW i thought that was not possible at all..
Can we install liquid cooling then? I mean radiator with coolant n pump, like in cars.

No dude, its not liquid cooling, it is oil cooling. As in our low range air cooled engines, the engine oil keeps it cool.
So, my plan is simply to redirect the oil pump pressure through a oil cooler - just like the zmr and P220. However, I have to find out whether it is at all possible or not.
If I make it possible, then I can ride miles after miles without any stop.

it is possible. You'll have to make some modifications to the oil pump housing and install a nipple there.Draft a pipe from there to the oil cooler and draft the return line to a banjo bolt installed where you dump fresh oil in from.total cost minus the oil cooler~350 bucks to a good fabricator/welder.

You won't see any huge gains per se because air cooled engines are dependent on heat dissipation from the fins and the fresh fuel charge being dumped into the cylinder.

Unless you plan on riding in 45+ degree heat, you will not notice any changes.

first get a radiator of the p-220
make 1 hole near the oil sump & make another hole above the sump
use steel pipes for connecting the holes with the two ends of the radiator respectively & seal it so tat there may be no leakage of oil.
attach the radiator at any convenient place (away from ur hands & other places) where there is flow of air properly.

hope this may help u & I dont know which pump to use for making the oil flow through the radiator.

P.S:- I am not responsible for any damage to the vehicle after doing this as this is just my idea & it has not been used on any bike.

@on wheels: Why, if I may ask, do you want an oil cooler? Because oil cooler or no oil cooler, you may run non-stop and you'll get tired, not the Honda mill!

I have a Honda too, a sibling of your hunk..the extreme.BTW, I ran it uphill to Manali from Chandigarh non-stop!

Wow, thats great. But here in West Bengal the temperature is 40dig...... so if you go for a long run, you have to stop often to cool down your machine.

Yes, but the reason of thinking for an oil cooler is that I have started to use my bike only for touring purpose. I am very much scared of heating issue, if the engine got overheated, then the internal parts suffers a lot without any indication. So, was thinking of installing an oil cooler. I have seen the all new zmr is fitted with an oil cooler, so I thought it can be possible to install an oil cooler on Hunk as well using the Hero Honda stock parts.
