  • CLIP-ONS on pulsar 150

What clip-ons are suitable for my Pulsar 150 UG3?

I heard that the wrong choice can lead to handling issues for the bike.
What about the 220/180(UG4) clip-ons? Will there be a need to change the fork as well?
And the new pulsar 150(UG4.5) also is sporting a different version of clip-on. Is that relevant? It seems that the fork is quite similar to the UG3.

    Or any other suggestions?
If possible do mention about the pros and cons of adding clip-on handlebars.
And what are the likely cost for the changes?

Put the clip ons from the new 150. Cost should be less as you will have to replace only the top plate and the handlebar. Perhaps 2000 bucks? Just an approximate guess...

              Clip ons for Pulsar ug3

I too have the same model and the best choice would be the new clip ons from Pulsar ug4.5 ,, because the forks and lock mounts are of same height !

              Cost is exactly :- Rs 450 /- for T-Base plate ,, Rs 272 /- * 2 = Rs544/- for Handle Mounting Blocks

You can easily do it urself,, there is no rocket science techies in this job ,,, you just need a T- Socket tool and Allen Keys set !

You may need to change the old steering screw set as it may be less in height from the new one ,,, not a big problem because it only costs Rs 45 /-

Actually the P200 handlebars offer better comfort than the P150UG4.5 Clipons. Personal Experience! The P200 handlebar, although looks similar, is lower in height and broader. So it is very comfortable and provides a nice riding posture when used with rearsets!

                      @deep_nine:

If you want to go with looks then better go with aftermarket clip-on handle bars, that directly fit into the shocks. There are a variety of them available, just go to a accessories shop and have a look at them. Also the stock P150 ug4.5 Clip-on is a pure sh*t, I have seen 4-5 P150's with broken clip-on's and that too when I asked the owner he replied that he had a small fall on the bike which broke it.

The same is the story with the aftermarket ones. Don't go for any of them. better go for a straight handlebar from the FZ or the P200 handlebar to is good. These are very reliable ones, they won't break or anything coz of falls. And even if they bend, they cost just 200 odd bucks. So its not a big deal. I just got the P200 handlebar for just Rs 220

Please dont go for pulsar ug4 handle-bars, they look very awkward, plus after installation you will not get 'that' position+pleasure of riding...

My suggestion is, if you are in Delhi, just go to Karol Bagh, lots of shops in there, you will find suitable handlebars for you pulsar...

Im also using those handlebars in my 2005 pulsar, and they work fine, my tank is broader though...

**dont think that they'll broke when fallen,

                          All the best...

i dont think so. The p135 is a shorter bike & hence has a different fork length. So the fitting would be too odd looking.
