    The 135 handles look much more sturdy than the new 150 so was considering getting it done , my mech says its possible but i dont wnt to end up doing any hack job as handles are important parts and any faulty fitting may be disastrous

        135 handlebars though are clip ons provide a commuterish riding position. They sure look sturdy. But the kinda money required to switch to clip ons is just not worth it.

          i have a classic pulsar and till last sunday it had the classic commuter chrome handlebar

          was planning to do exactly what is on your mind.
          went to a couple of workshops and enquired

          Apparently it can be done.

          guy said that 135 handlebars were kinda hard to find. he was confident that even a 150 clip on + baseplate combo will fit. other xbhp people have said that the forks for ug4 pulsars are wider than original ones though.

          But the guy also said that getting the base plate + handlebar + screws/other needed stuff + labor will be around 1300 to 1500 Rs.

          i personally felt this was too much.

          So i fitted mine with the newer normal handlebar. it fits on without any modification, i have it moved forward compared to its normal position , and this has translated into an awesome riding position.

          This change only set me back 300 rs

            @r2k2:
            You should have gone for the P200 handlebars as they provide better riding comfort than the UG3 handlebars. The P200 ones are lower than the UG3's
            Also, the P150UG4 has the same old fork. So the clipons from the UG4.5 are a direct fit to the older generation pulsars. The kinda cost involved for the clipons the baseplate and all the spacers and nut bolts and the kinda riding comfort it gives, its just not worth spending 2000odd bucks just for the looks of it. Because I have ridden all the pulsars extensively[all my friends have pulsars and each one has a different version] and I can guarantee that the P200handlebar @ 290bucks is a far better choice than any of the clip-ons. Trust me. I too wanted clip ons for my P180UG3, but i went for the 200 handlebars and the 200's rearset footpegs and the riding posture is far better than any other pulsar[except the 200 and the 220]
