Query regarding K&N Filters.

yes mate cool down, u need not argue on things like these...
If you want to increase the performance of your bike u need to follow a sequence of mods
1. Change the spark plugs to iridium
2.You need to change the plug cable to ensure appropriate power is supplied to the spark plugs.
3.Install K&N
4.run the bike with K&N for 2-4 days on variable speeds.
5.Check the tip of the spark plug.If the tip is white it means u need to upjet the bike. If the tip of the plug is brown then its perfect. If the tip is black then u need to tune the carb.
step 4 and 5 need a lot of patience.Its not plug and go. you need to try various combination to get the right setting between the carb and the filter. all the best.......X=need for more

I have changed my sparks..Now what do you mean by a plug cable?? Is it mandatory to change it if I have changed the spark plug?? I don't mind fitting anything that doesn't void my warranty and does some increase in the performance.!! I will install K&N..But i want to know the correct jet for my bike..I don't want to trial and error....! Help..

What if i tell my mechanic to upjet my engine & also install a K&N filter with free-flow exhaust .. can i keep my sound of bike same or may be a change with misfiring (which i miss from my old boxer) ???sigpicGodz Bless US ALL !!

I have just installed K&N in my ZMA ,It doesn't add anything other than sound
U will feel like u are going faster..but actually u r not
Check for your Jet size and find a Jet bigger than that...Simple!!!
btw...I am going to do the same
