My situation is tricky Rahul. It is them who told the Cranfshaft is defective and offered to replace it (my bike was running very much fine). The technician was very much helpful to me and explained everything and showed all the engine parts. He was not aware that the crankshaft for Stunner FI and Carb Stunner is different. They tried to source the part from entire South India. What made me to contact the Customer Care of Honda is the delay in procuring the part. I hoped they would involve and help in faster delivery of the new crankshaft.

Now after I complained to Customer Care, the JSP Honda are not happy with it and they are not sincere in their efforts now. Of course, now they put a flight order to procure the part from the Plant, all expenses will have to born by the JSP Honda for this.

I am worried now because my bike's engine now is completed dismantled for the past week. Do not know when I will get the bike back. Do not know whether they can reassemble the FI engine to its original shape without issues. I wanted Customer Care to involve and make the process speed by employing a senior engineer to supervise the entire process.

To my bad luck, CC of HOnda chose not to respond. Now, I cannot put any blame on JSP Honda that they are not offering service

I got the following reply when I first shot a mail to them on last Monday. Since then no update from them. Even yesterday I mailed to them again, but no reply. I called multiple times to the numbers in the signature block of Mr. Sandeep Rai yesterday, and nobody answered to them.

I can see that the response has been very delayed.. I would suggest wait for 2 more days (considering they ordered it on express delivery) for the crank and then publish it in the newspaper. You need not blame JSP. You can directly shoot at Honda India by saying what all exactly happened!

Dont worry so much about it being an FI engine. I myself am working on engines and trust me its just like any other engine out there. The characters and responses are very different but assembling part is just the same.

One point here is, JSP Honda, initially helpful though and understood that I was concerned about the bike, they took a full week to put an order. Though they are doing service, they can be blamed for this.

I agree that there is no rocket science behind the FI engine. But, I cannot just rely 100% on a technician here who opened the FI engine for the first time and found the crankshaft is different only after he tried to put the cam chain. Is'nt it better to have a senior engineer supervised in order to give no room for mistakes due to ignorance?

Even though JSP Honda is offering good service, here are my concerns:
          1. JSP Honda offered to replace the CrankShaft in four days and I mentally prepared for not having the bike for four days.
          2. Now, the technician found that crankshaft is different only after he dismantled the engine (you can put blame on JSP Honda for this, but can be forgiven)
          3. This crankshaft for the stunner FI is not in stock (You can put blame on JSP Honda for not having stock of spares of a regular production bike, but can be forgiven if they source the spare quickly)
          4. Now, with the assurance by the works manager of JSP Honda that in a day or two they would source the part from other dealers or stockists from south India, I was prepared to get my back in a day or two. I was clearly worried as the engine is completely dismantled for more than two days.
          5. Now, I sensed delay by each passing day and felt the works manager is not putting real efforts to source the part quickly though he could do. This made me more restless and not knowing when I get my bike back, called up Customer Care to speed up the process.
          6. JSP Honda is not happy with this and they started to be cool. It took almost full week for the Works Manager to put a flight order (cannot be forgiven and can be blamed fully) though putting flight order by them is a good service.
          7. Customer Care has not got back to me as they promised. No speeding up of procedures as you can see. No reply to my second mail Yesterday, no answering of calls (pathetic and disgusting).

Now more than 12 days have passed, each day I was thinking that I get my bike this day. Very irritating and helpless. My bike will be in the dismantled state till the spare is procured and with no time frame.

Getting an engine opened and fixed from a 'first timer' is definitely not advisable!

Anna you are being troubled. Agreed. But why are you backing up the Honda or JSP guys? I mean yes they were helpful initially but not so anymore. Now they have become reluctant and taken you for granted. Its time to take some action. Simple!

Ex- I had an Octavia RS 3 years back. At a 'high' speed i made contact with an auto and the rear left door was 'torn'. Gave the car at the Skoda Auto Service. It was over 2 weeks and the new door wasnt even ordered. My dad simply advertised it in the newspaper. Next day got an apology call from the Regional Manager and the car was ready in 4 days.

Now since the part has been ordered all you can do is wait and watch. But still if they are not doing it on time you MUST take some action!

              @ravi
I would give you a simple & better way. Lodge a complaint in the consumer forum or give the honda guys such threat. Believe me the work speed would be doubled.

Thanks Rahul and Madhav. I will wait till Monday and see what I can do.

The irony is I just bought the bike and hardly rode for 200 kms. I was away from a geared bike for almost 8 months and enjoyed those 200 kms. Now this waiting is killing me. And, not a single scratch on bike and now I fear how many scratches I get on the bike.

^^^I appreciate your such a patience ravi. As if would i have been in your place then I would have till now murdered all the Honda SC guys with my threats & complaints for causing such an inconvenience. I would be a nice guy to the SC guys only till 4-5 days. After that I would be the biggest nightmare of the SC guys.
Well you have not paid more than 65,000 buck (correct me if I am wrong) for these things. Right??
