I checked out the above link but that product is a navigation device by map my India i am actually looking for the tracker so that in case of theft, i can track my bike.
So my query is still going on... help me friends :-)

DIY tracker
buy a cash sim card, recharge it with life time validity, seal it in tape and just hide it inside the bike, when your bike is stolen it can easily be traced
still if you want to track it online, then you have to spend some extra moolah and buy a pro tracking device and i think they charge for thier services on anual basis, I used this sytem for my car long back

dear i was there in the g2g when the pulsar guy told us about this method. he he lolz.... thanks for the suggestion, but still i will go for the gps tracker... let see what are there prices and products..

Great I just shared little info I had , well I bought it from connect2car.com
with auto engine start and you can control the features through iPhone
the only issue is every time you send a SMS I was charged 5 rupees and server is in us so I paid almost 100 usd for an year rest info you can find on thier site , I don know if they have such product for bikes
I would not recommend that anyway as mine also goes waste

im not sure if understand..

i buy a lifetime sim card (airtel, vodafone, idea, docomo etc.) and i do what with it???

thnx, this is new to me lol...

they can trace the sim card without it bieng in a phone>???? no way???

they are launching alarm system as well as tracker for bikes as well
thier current pricing for car navigation tracket along with alarm features is 16500/-
for tracking and navigation you have to pay 3000/- per year as navigation charges.
SMS charges as per local operator
if you want only tracking device its for 13000/-
prices mentioned ablove are taken from their customer service centre and for cars only
they are launching bike system this month only
