  • R15 down shift problem

    Hi Guys,

Need some help here I recently bought a r15 its a month old now, I noticed that couple of times when I do a dead stop and down shift at the same time at speeds around 60kms+ the gear does not seem to respond. I then will have to either de-clutch or move the bike a bit to get it down to 1st gear. I complained about this at the service station and they tell me it happens sometimes. I am not satisfied with this answer . need to know if any one has faced this problem so that I can take necessary action.

Please let me know your views. And yes the gear box and the chain has been well lubricated and also the clutch play has been checked.

I have owned the R15 for over a year now. This occurs with my bike too, and AFAIK its normal.
Ideally, you should already downshift to neutral bby the time you come to a dead stop.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

I believe this is normal in bikes. I experienced the same thing in my Karizma a number of times when I owned it.
