    Hi all,

Thanks a lot for uploading the pics of your Bulls.

BTW, I wanted some information from all you bull riders. My best pal wants to buy an Enfield and he wants to go for the MACHISMO 500 LB .

Please can you all advice some related information and reviews if any of you owns it or has riden it.

    Thanks,

    Roxan.

      Hi Roxan,

Hey bud, the 500LB is a good bike, with loads of torque to satisfy the tourer in you, although one might say more is never enough (hehe).

I haven't really heard recent problems with the bike except for the fact that the parts are damn expensive, & it still has the sprag clutch issues (owing to the self starter).

If I were your friend, to be honest, I would stay away for one reason only, which is that I cannot afford it's spare parts. Otherwise, sprag clutch, hell I would throw away the self-starter.

      Take care.

      Happy thumping,
      Prakhar

I was wondering if a Self start is needed on a bullet.

          Hi Deep,

Well true, but then needed or not comes later because it is already not very successful on these bikes.

And hey when do you think your old thread can be revived this time around? Let me know when the work is finished.

          Take care.

Thanks a ton Prakhar for sharing the details for the New 500 LB. I am sure that this will be very useful for my pal. Please do add on to more suggestions and feedback.

I totally agree with you guys. Mine has a self starter that is sort of " "Consistently Inconsistent" It is certainly not succesfull at all.

The Starter Relay has already beeen replaced once, Thank god it was in warranty.

            Roxan.

              Hi Roxan,

It's a pleasure bud, & I am glad that I could be of any help to you.

I will surely keep you posted if I hear anything in specific about the 500LB.

              Take care.

                Subject way off??

Sorry if my entry is a little way off, but I just need to know something viz if anyone can help me. I am not very satisfied with the stock oil pump on my E5S. Well, it hasn't given me probs as such, as yet. Still, I would like to know the cons of using a high capacity oil pump especially the one made by Samrat Auto.

                  Hi Andy_Vee,

Hey bud, I am not very sure about this but then I feel the newer Bullets come factory fitted with large oil pumps.

As for Samrat, well, I don't think that these guys are ever interested in selling their stuff to Indian customers. I tried contacting them on a number of occassions & even spoke to the head, Mr.GP Mistry, but then no communication was ever there from them.

                  Take care.

                  Happy thumping,

Thanx guys for the response. But, I find it strange that Samrat should be more interested in exporting their stuff __ to the point of ignoring local bulleteers (????). I think I should try to contact them soon. Well, anyone know where in Delhi or Kolkata one can get the UK made RE performance enhancer kit?? And, the question "cons of using a high capacity oil pump" .... I'd still appreciate feedback. Prakhar, E5S uses the same oil pump as the M500.

Desideep, ur right there man. Still, I like to check and take precautions before I need to start operation on the road . Thnx neway.

U guys heard ??? There's a saying going round that >>the FZ16 muffler when fitted to a RE goes "Ho na na."<<

Hey confirmed that the 350 and 500(CI) come with the same oil pump, that is the so called low flow pump. its only the 535 (CI) that had the high flow pumps and this is applicable to all the 350 (CI) Bullets STD, ELECTRA, ELECTRA (5S).

any questions about that you may contact your nearest RE autorised workshop and check the part book.
i may even have the part numbers with me i will post them soon.
