              • IMO.

First pic seems to have some prominent noise, and i would love to see a coloured version.

Second pic, I would have liked a little more cropped version.

                • Chicane: Thanks! I'll post a wide shot of that place next time I go there.

Bandhav: Actually, that noise reminds me of film grain and kinda appeals to me. It's a common tactic employed by photographers to convert noisy images to B&W to simulate a film look.

MG: Thanks, welcome back and yes, I'd like to see a crop of the second picture too!

                  • Synn: I had this feeling that Mg might have done it intentionally but still i would love to see the unedited/coloured version, provided the original picture has some.

                    • @Bandhav & synn-Here is the original unedited/untouched image.Adding it for reference and comparison. And yes the noise was added intentionally.

                      Exif Data:
                      Focal Lenght:12.7mm
                      Aperture:F/7.1
                      Exposure Time:1/800sec

Regarding the second image I tried cropping it but somehow I didn't find it that appealing.

                        • Inder: Focus is pretty much spot on, but the flash has over exposed the image. Try covering the flash with a paper napkin to diffuse it the next time you try such a shot.

                            Hmmmm...thanks for that Synn..

will try it out..but, wouldn't that make the image black..as here in this case the light around was very dim..?

                            • The idea is to make the flash diffuse, not to block it completely!

Obviously, it involves some trial and error. Fiddle around with the thickness of the paper until you strike a balance. Other options involve using ring flashes and bouncing flashes off a reflector (Difficult with the integrated flash as it's pointing straight ahead).
