That's a lovely shot! Really liking it... tell us more about it... when you shot it, where, how, etc..Originally posted by Sunny View PostI had taken this using a 70-200mm. Details: f4, 70mm, 100 ISO, 1/25sec, only desaturated and increased contrast
Nice moon shots Praveen. What camera are you using?Originally posted by praveenkm View Postbtw here are couple of moon pix:
Here's one I shot a few weeks back..Yes, I know... Its yet another Moon shot.. but I wanted to share this as I reckon, its my best moon shot yet with the humble 70-300IS..

400D with 70-300 IS @ 300mm, 1/320, f/8, ISO 100, Manual focus, Hand Held, Image Stabilisation Off.
Thanks for looking!

If thats a shot from your humble 70-300 IS, then my moons are from an insignificant Sony H10Originally posted by Vicky View PostNice moon shots Praveen. What camera are you using?....
Fantastic moon capture vicky

Just picked up a D60 kit...just a beginner here, so now starts the learning process...will mostly use it for covering the track events, no plans for big lenses as of now
Something i took while messing around yesterday, using the standard 55mm lens so nothing fancy, but i like this camera already...
drop of water in a jar

u used the flash??and if you are gonna cover track events u better get a fast lens to have the max output from the camera.there are no stupid questions.

yup, its taken in the night so needs the flash to give the drops a little dazzle...there was reflection off the edge of the jar though, else it would've worked out good.Originally posted by anvancy View Postu used the flash??
I know, will probably borrow somebody's lens lol...can't see myself investing that kinda money for a decent lens....and people say racing is expensive phewand if you are gonna cover track events u better get a fast lens to have the max output from the camera.
For now its just a decent all-rounder

Cleaned up water drop pic, first one had too much noise. Btw, Pic was taken at 1/200, f/5.3, ISO 400, Manual focus with flash, VR turned offLast edited by Killer; 11-07-2008, 09:12 PM.

Yeah man, its one of the first pics....Thanks, thats a big compliment coming from you. I'm not much into photography, mostly wanted a camera i could hand over to a friend to take my pics at the race track, I've discovered though that this can be quite a bit of funOriginally posted by Sunny View PostKiller dude: Thats the first picture you took with the SLR? hats Off. A champion in one is capable of being a champion in everything.
