• DSG Genesis Jacket Owner Review

During October 2014, I bought DSG Genesis Jacket from planetdsg.com.

I liked the design, and was very excited.

Within 2 rides, I noticed stitches on back shoulder side were going bad.

I contacted DSG, and shared the photographs.

I haven't heard from them after that. I tried to contact a couple of times, but no response.

I stitched things with my hand, started wearing, and now stitches on other side are going bad. You can see threads getting out all over jacket.

Compared to my alpinestar jacket which have used so many times I can't count, is still in great shape.

I would recommend anyone buying any product from DSG. Their customer service is bad.

Following would probably justify why I hold such strong opinion about DSG:

They sent me two jackets by mistake. I called them, told them, and asked them to get extra jacket picked up. They didn't get it picked for almost two months. I called them again, and they asked me to send it.

I sent the jacket bearing the courier expenses (750 bucks - Kanpur to Pune). They are yet to refund money I spent on courier. I reminded and called and emailed them.

I had bought tank pads, they shipped after six months that too after many calls and reminders.

This has happened in past, kept my money for months, and then refunded it instead of shipping the items.

    Thread Approved

Please post more pictures of the jacket. Also stick to the review of the jacket and not other products you have used or bought from DSG.

    Thanks

The Monk: Sure. Sorry about mentioning other products, which I did to justify my strong opinion.

I would post more pictures probably in better light.

Here is one, where I stitched a part to make it work, see black thread on red. That whole thing went apart:

It seems images are compressed a lot, hence details are not shown. Let me click high res pics and share those.

That's the reason I don't trust these websites, thanks for warning us, now if people stop buying, maybe they will pay attention.

Honesty doesn't seem to be the best policy these days going by the experience.

A real good share about PlanetDSG. People should stay away from this seller.

So many bad experiences of people with DSG. I remember few reviews which also had mentioned that DSG customer service is bad and regret buying it.

Either they have too many customer so not bother about the few. Or people buying are mad.

I am also looking for a Jacket for my touring and weekend rides. in budget of 6500.
