Re: SMK Twister Helmet Review
I am having the same issue. Heavy noise from left side.I suppose the small gap in the visor switch is the culprit. Thinking of taking the helmet to the dealer. Are you still facing the issue ? did you take up with dealer??Originally posted by Harrisoncool View PostI bought SMK twister helmet and i bit confused on something. When i ride at around 40KM/hr there is very heavy wind noise in my left ear, but my right side is calm. I tried closing the swtich kinda thing they have for sun visior by hand, when i do that its calm. Is that normal?

Re: SMK Twister Helmet Review
I read that every SMK helmet has this issue and the reason for that is the Bluetooth hole they left there. I also read that you can use a 3M tape or any good tape to cover it up, and the noise will be gone.Originally posted by lmn View PostI am having the same issue. Re: SMK Twister Helmet Review
That used to happen when the visor got old. Installing a new visor maybe the only solution to this issue.Originally posted by Nabeel Ahmed View PostHi Guys
Many people have said that there is this issue about SMK twister about the lid getting loosened after a while (Shuts automatically when kept in open position as well ).
Any idea whether this problem is sorted now ?
TIA :-)

Re: SMK Twister Helmet Review
I own this Helmet for more than a year now And i love it.
I ride mostly in monsoons and the pin lock visor helps a lot in avoiding fogg and really great piece of visor it is.
You won't believe it but i have not changed my visor since i bought it and night visibility is still great almost as good as the new.
There is some amount of wind noise but it's alright.
I didn't face this issue. It tightness is almost same as it was new. and mind it i used it almost everyday on my commutes and rides.Hi Guys

Hey! I own a SMK Twister too..
I heard abt the BT system that was supposed to be pre-installed in the helmets post Diwali last year. Any leads as to the availability of the BT sys?
It was just a BT device which works as a headphones to your mobiles and it cost about 4k and no intercom feature. I was contacted to get my helmet replaced with the new one but i rejected it because of it. Instead you can buy a ASG BT set for 1500 which serves the same and not even visible from outside.
But i am really Happy with a helmet which has Dual Visors , Pin lock visor with anti fogg film , good cushioning , snug fit , durable , really great visibility , rugged and also bit heavy on weight and some wind noise. But under 5k its a really great deal. Now it costs 4.3k.

Re: SMK Twister Helmet Review
Sorry to bump up an old thread.
I have got a SMK MA271 Twister matt orange helmet and I am facing the issue of lot of noise inside the helmet at 40 km per hr itself.
Tried the L and XL size but of no help. I really like the helmet and its features. But don't know what to do to fix it ?
Couple of guys in this same thread had faced the same issue. Could you direct me on were you able to solve it and if yes what did you do.
Dont know if its an inherent problem with the helmet itself or its something else.
Thank you.

Re: SMK Twister Helmet Review
Fill the side where there is opening for Bluetooth unit on the helmet... There is a removable cover... I used electric tape and some paper to cover the area... Air enters from that area so covering that will give you some result...Originally posted by sujithbvm View PostSorry to bump up an old thread.

Re: SMK Twister Helmet Review
Why didn't you install the communicator in the provided intercom slot?Originally posted by adityagaur51 View PostJust got delivered the vimoto v3 Bluetooth for helmet.... Bought it from AliExpress for around 2500 bucks including shipping...
Installed it myself... My helmet is SMK twister....
This helmet has cutout for speaker vents....
To install you need to partially remove liners.... Then place speaker with the help of 3m Velcro pad for both speaker... Then attach the mic... For full face helmet it's flexible... For modular or half faced it's fixed and sturdy mic...
Mine is full faced helmet so i used flexible mic...
After that attach Bluetooth connector to the side of helmet... I did it with the 3m tape ...
For 3m tape to get fully attached give helmet around 1 or 2 days....
Some after pics

Claimed playback is around 8-10 hours... Will test to more to give final verdict...
But overall i found it nice for the price...

Have you had any chance to compare this device to the Vnetphone V6?
Cheers and regards.

Re: SMK Twister Helmet Review
The device is bigger than the cutout so i didn't stick the device there.. also you have to make a hole for wire entrance to speakers and mike...Originally posted by Ajeet Padhi View PostWhy didn't you install the communicator in the provided intercom slot?

I hope I don't have to face the same issue when I try a communicator device.
Any ideas on the one I mentioned(vnetphone v6)?

Re: SMK Twister Helmet Review
Bumping this up.
Was anyone able to find a Bluetooth device that would fit the slot provided in the SMK Twister? I looked up online and found one from SMK itself, SMK A-2 Bluetooth Device (I think Longrides was talking about the same one). I got in touch with their customer care and they said that they do sell it separately (@4k INR) and gave the address of one dealer in Bangalore (Guess there might be many. So dunno why they gave only 1!)
But it looks like all the other models that have the intercom AND are sturdy AND are better than Bluetooth 2.1, do not fit into the slot (though I believe 2.1 should be good enough for taking calls)
Any thoughts/suggestions?

Sukesh--

Their bluetooth only work for calls and music. It isn't a intercom. ASG sells same kind of thing at 1500.
