Answers :-
- Yes, They are completely weather sealed projectors thus can be fixed wherever you want. But better check retailer for mounting bracket and other option which they can provide for mount, Vibrations, etc. Also comes with warranty of two years - pretty good.
- The light quantity or intensity you see on previous Gen. BMW or Audi is produced by 35w x 2 Ballasts. each 45w Ballast would product 20% more light and each 55w would produce atleast 30-35% more light but also at the cost of bulb life. Though bulb will last more then halogen bulb but still, it is safe to be in limit and 45w or 35w ballast would be okay for such small projectors. A single projector with 35w ballast setup will be brighter then 100w halogen bulb. Rest you can calculate.
- Amber light? Man 5000k is Blue white color, amber would stand anywhere below 2700 kelvin making front traffic, tree, cow, goat and everything Amber. Stick below 5k temp. Amber or Yellow HID works better in car with main HL.
- I don;t know why it is showing a price of 12k! Here I can see the same page for 8500 thats I recommended you these things. These projectors are for car thus always counts in pair. Though you can have buy x 1 unit also. Contact the website.
- If you are Damn Damn Damn sure that your current LED lights are actually of 76 watts and working fine past 2 years then sure, 35w x 2 ballast would suck 70w current So the setup should work. Better to check your impulse system using multimeter to be safe before making purchase. They will work perfecty on Dominar's 236w alternator. Also, dominar stock HL can not be changed without making catastrophic changes to it so AUX projector would be best for it.
- You better give some time in reading of HID stuff to clear your doubts. The pic sent by Rahul is showing the output of low beam and High beam produced by a HID bulb inside projector. This is more controlled, uniform beam and better then beams produced my local LED lights.
Ahhh.. I forget DVJ auto guys. They helped me 2 years ago completing my DIY and they have vast range of ballast and projectors. I should have mentioned of you.Originally posted by Rahul.g View PostWe can also help you with projectors/electrical mods.
Rest of the details i'll share with you in pm

.
10000 for 45w and 12000 for 55w.
Okay I got your point now.
I'll stick to 45w
So I'll be going to mount these on dominar since stock headlight is full led and white so it's okay for me to get 5k white HID.
Thanks for all the help. And yes will be in touch with DVJ auto. Whenever I'm ready to buy aux lights."The Answer, My Friend,

Re: Best Auxilary lights for motorcycle
I think other budget option is to take RS200 high beam projectors(H11,65W) and change its stock bulb to HID or LED. however clamping needs to be perfect.
It costs 1500rs/piece in 99rpm.com
Can i fit one pair in my Dominar? Without any ballast?..
Will be too load on alternator??

Re: Best Auxilary lights for motorcycle
If you want to invest on headlight then I advise you to go with proper bixenon sealed projector. They are far better then RS200 stock projectors with neat sharp cutoff and tight high beam hotspot. They come with 35w and 55w HID setup.Originally posted by prasadD400 View PostI think other budget option is to take RS200 high beam projectors(H11,65W) and change its stock bulb to HID or LED. however clamping needs to be perfect.

Re: Best Auxilary lights for motorcycle
Look for post no. 12, 14, 17 in same thread. Bixenon (high and low beams) projectors are mostly used by all 20+ Lakhs car, say bmw, audi, etc. These projectors can be retrofitten in our bike's headlights but only if space allows. Since yours is dominar, playing around its stock LED unit won't be a good idea. Better to get completely sealed (weather/ waterproof) Bixenon projector that can be mounted below headlights, or at crash guards.Originally posted by prasadD400 View PostCan u name some good brands and price if u know.
BS3 Bikes equipped with BCU or ECU require CANBUS type Ballast in order to fool ECU otherwise bypass the switch using relay and fix auxilary switch for cheap.
BS4 bikes doesn;t have headlight switch (AHO) so there is no point in playing around with stock light wires. Just install the projectors and power them directly from a relayed switch.
As for the price, think of spending around 6k to 10k for that amount of light. FEretrofit, DVJ Auto, UGlare, Xenonplanet are some retailers that sells these items with warranty. If want to go with cheaper option, then consider Aliexpress.
Here in New Delhi, Mr. Abhishek of Uglare is reputed person. Just go through his page on amazon or fb or his website for the projector. In my case, He sent me the projector for free and told me to make payment only if I am satisfied with the product. Just his way of working for customer.

Re: Best Auxilary lights for motorcycle
Posting a generic question about auxiliary lights here, as they come under "illegal modifications" as per the government.
Last year I was stopped in Pune at a signal for having these auxiliary lights even though my lights were turned off. I strictly only use them during night time that too if the visibility is really poor on stock/no street lights and have adjusted the auxis in such a way that it doesn't affect the oncoming traffic.
The police officer (a lady) asked me if I have the permission from the RTO to have these lights installed.
So my question is, can we really get a permission from RTO to get the auxiliaries installed? If yes, has anybody here done it? What's the procedure, time required and charges if any?
