and what is relayed switch bro..
As of now i have HJG led fog lamps as aux. And for that power supply is taken from front brake light switch and operated through additional switch.. is it correct method??
    1. Bike- Bajaj Discover 135s 2008. Upgraded with Coil Rewinding and RR unit to support electrical load upto 15~ amps.

    2. Projector - Hella G5-R RHD Bixenon Projector + Osram CBI + 55w Hylux Ballast. Projector supports H4 base so installation was almost plug & play after headlight disassembly. Ballast is fixed below speedometer. Search for "morimoto mini d2s" on youtube to know working of a bixenon projector. Their Light output is far brighter, wider, longer then LED bulb. The only powerfull LED projector I ever seen is in current gen Fortuner but still, Bixenon is LOVE.

    3. Relay is a small device that costs below 100 rupees for minda upto 30 amps. Basically it is a thermostat switch which is used for high power aftermarket accessories. If you connect a HID on your stock wires then chances are that your headlight switch will go kaput after several weeks of use because of high current flow (stock switch designed for 35w load, HID sucks upto 70w or 120w (35w~55w ballast) at startup). Replacing this switch is costly (~600+ rupees or so) so we either connect such electrical devices on a different switch or we use relay to save stock switch. Stock switch is like poor guy and Relay is rich guy. When you turn on stock, then this poor guy tells rich guy to pass on the high current for him. Thats it. More info you can get from youtube.

    4. You need to learn wiring on your bike. Better don;t do it if you don't know what you are doing as yours is Dominar and any wrong move may cost you few hundred bucks. Do the fog lamps turn on when you press brake switch? Usually people take 12v from ignition wire (a wire below key hole) to power relay and then power the bulb/equipment.

Last year I was stopped in Pune at a signal for having these auxiliary lights even though my lights were turned off. I strictly only use them during night time that too if the visibility is really poor on stock/no street lights and have adjusted the auxis in such a way that it doesn't affect the oncoming traffic.

The police officer (a lady) asked me if I have the permission from the RTO to have these lights installed.

So my question is, can we really get a permission from RTO to get the auxiliaries installed? If yes, has anybody here done it? What's the procedure, time required and charges if any?

    TIA.
Last year you were stopped at a signal for having a auxilliary light on your bike that were turned off and was charged for not having written permission from RTO.
Now be optimistic here for next few minutes.

Did the lady asked you the reason for having those lights? Did she paid you respect for having the lights switched OFF and using them only when required? Did she was happy to know that you cares about other fellow road user and you are such a good guy? Did she cared for you and gave a thought what will happen to you if you ride on a dim road with dim stock lights with idiot drivers on their high beams coming from opposite side?

    Answer is NO.
She was a shelfish lady. Bad girl. hmmmmm... She only cared about RTO which is similar or worst to any other govt. department with employees sitting with poor technical, common knowledge.
You should have asked her if she carries written permission for the COWS that they can sit anywhere on road anytime, if she carries written permission for dogs and pedestrian to cross road from any point they want.
    Answer again is NO.
You can not ask her such things because she belongs to a govt. department which can sue you for irrelevant things as they posses power and you are a common man struggling on dark roads to reach home safely.

No need to give a * and care about such things, I mean, respect them but be wise and smart. Its your mother who cares for your health and waits for your safe homecoming. She is proud of you that you think about other road users too.

-- So I advice you to keep your fog lamps installed, just put a DIY stitched leather covers onto them when not in use.
-- Read the Terms and Conditions from govt. and Hella websites on using such Auxillary lights and chances are you can use them when offroad and in urban area - a cover is required. Thats it. No one is going to fine you for AUX lights with cover on them. Bring insurance + pollution + RC + DL + proper knowledge all the time while riding so that you can be a Dominant person when cops stops you.
-- Work hard, become a million er and buy something like trimph or similar. They sell powerful accessories which all are DOT or ECE certification. No cop will dare to touch you for the accessories installed as they came with the bike. If they do, then Trimph will be on your side all of the time in court. Thats why a Rich person has an edge over the cops most of the time. They act smart, they pay smart for their work done legally.
-- For now, avoid exposure to cops, keep the covers on your aux lights when not in use and if get caught, talk to them nicely that lights are for your own safety, you don;t harm other people. If they understand you -- Good. If they don't pay the fine like a boss for your safety. This is INDIA and you have to put multiple efforts for such work done.

Source -- I was stuck with similar case and brought it upto court where Hella stood by my side. Cops do lack common sense, Judges don't. They understood my needs and safety and let me go with amount of money then I spent during the case.
