Re: Ninja 650R - Ownership Thread
Hi, no, it wont void the warranty as it takes the reading from Obd port on the 650. We haven't cut any wires. So if required we can just unplug it, you know what I meanOriginally posted by Shashank Suresh View PostI love the mods. The bike looks gorgeous.

Re: Ninja 650R - Ownership Thread
It was his brother... He's more used to a bullet 500, ninja 650 is a different kettle of fish, ABS is necessary on these type of bikes, suggested him to get steel braided brakelines for better feedback, this was the first 650 I rode, and immediately I understood the power shouldn't be messed with as the torque comes in at 3000-5000rpm itself, maybe I'm wrong but yeah after riding this , rode a benelli 600 and that felt a bit underpowered but it felt like very very usuable in the city apart from the weight.Originally posted by dustom_99 View PostI am yet to see a guy who crashed his bike himself ! Re: Ninja 650R - Ownership Thread
Hey guys... Just got a second hand Kwacker 2013 may model this Oct.. Gifted it to self on my birthday

I am thinking of getting my kwacker a complete wrap.. No offences to anyone but the candy lime orange fascinates me more.. I had got a helmet even before getting the bike (SOL SL68S UNICORN matte orange) .... But the wrapmeup guy is asking for a lot i.e 16ks....i stay in pune and m planning to get lehd this June....
Some of the questions that crossed my mind are
1. Do the 3m quality wraps stay for long... I mean during cleaning and washing don't they get ripped off...
2. Does the paint under the wraps go bad once u want to remove them...
3. I m thinking of orange matte with satin blue graphics...
4. I plan to get it done from a guy who modifies cars and bikes(Ground Designs in Akurdi, Pune.. Hes asking <5k for it and promises to use 3m taping)
5. Suggestions are most welcome.
Regards
Abhishek

Re: Ninja 650R - Ownership Thread
Hi buddy great to hear u rode that much..... Happy and safe riding again... I had one query ... Did you not face ground clearance issues... Since the GC of the ninja is 130mm... I m planning to get lehd this June and thinking of taking the ninja there... (i have a royal enfield as well but I prefer the kwacker because of its reliability)... Any mods you did before embarking on that trip (skid plates or getting a free flow silencer to inc the G)Originally posted by Sachinnair View PostThere are no issues which 180 section has. As i said i just did a 7500 kms trip on them across all types of terrains and I had no issues. Got 27.2 kmpl mileage and no issues in top speed, cornering, wet roads, gravel, no roads, etc.
You can buy angel st / gt if you are okay paying the extra moolah. Else pr2 is equally good.
I cant comment on diablo. Never used them.

Also even i just changed to Michelin PR2 180/55 for the rear and pr2 again for the front as the feedback is great... So i think gripping won't be an issue right...?
Thnx in advance

I didn't know a lighter sprocket would improve the throttle response! I thought it was just a weight saving thing..Originally posted by chinmayakar View Post
The thing that made me change the sprocket, is of course the weight. It is very light. There is considerable difference in weight between the stock sprocket and the aluminium one I put. Due to this, when I release the throttle, the response is more immediate. The minimal lag that you feel between wristing of throttle and movement of rear tyre is almost 0 in my case. I get wheelspins all the way up till 4th gear if I am not careful with the throttle.
I had also installed similar light weight sprocket on my 300, but in Titanium, and was more than happy, hence we replicated the same on my 650, but using aluminium this time, as titanium wasn't available.
Thanks for the Info Mate!! I guess on the bad side of 30s, you do get a little bit wiser!!

Was that a taunt buddy? I am sorry if I am not as technically inclined as you are my friend. That's how you quote people out of context I guess. I think I made myself clear that I am not the right person to give you the technical side of things.

As a solo rider I have never faced Ground clearance issues with my bike but yes with pillion the ground clearance is a challenge.Originally posted by lucifer_abhi View PostHi buddy great to hear u rode that much..... Not at all man.. just that I didn't think such a small change would improve performance too. As a matter of fact, I was thinking doing something similar to my D200 too.!Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostWas that a taunt buddy? Re: Ninja 650R - Ownership Thread
Hi guys.. This is Abhishek... Putting up in pune..... A strange thing happened on my 2013 ninja 650 today... IT STALLED At a speed of 65kmph in 4th gear... I know triumphs are bitten by the stalling bug.. But it is something new to a kwacker.... The bike has been serviced by Sai service (earlier by snk bajaj) had to do it from sai as snk has shut down... And the bike has munched only 1k since servicing.... The time of stalling was afternoon 2 pm where temp is like 32 33 Celsius...
Can someone tell me what might be the possible issue here... Or should I head to the Service centre with a Comlpaint..
Thnx in advance

Re: Ninja 650R - Ownership Thread
Hello guys!! Its been quite a while since I last updated about my 650. In 2 and half months my bike has completed around 6000 kms. Last couple of weeks I have not been riding that much. Bike is doing quite well and I am quite satisfied and happy with my purchase. As with any new vehicle I buy -call that a bad habit- I had the thought of selling her and getting something bigger. But as and when I spent time with her, I realised this is the best bike I have ever ridden till date, and a bigger and powerful bike can wait for sometime. In the mean while I had also installed some accessories on my bike, and on the Valentines Day I got her Light Tech spools, bar ends, oil filler cap.
