Yippe!!! got my Ninja yesterday
My 2.5 year old daughter has been super excited since I booked my Ninja 650 on 12th June 2011. Yesterday, she refused to go to her Pre school since she had overheard me talking to Pro biking show room guys and she knew the bike is on her way.
I had to convince her to go to school on the condition that i will pick her up from school in the afternoon.
With mine i saw another 4 bikes ready for delivery in Pune showroom.
Since yesterday, daughter has been giggling and laughing since she sat on the bike.
I did about 60 kms on day 1 and my feedback is as under:
+ Looks really cool and green for sure is a head turner
+ The instrument cluster is really hi tech and cool
+ The seating position is very comfortable...surely can be riden for long distance with no stress on wrists and shoulders
+ is light on the handle and feels quite safe...handling is quite good
+ the rear is sleek
+ the exhaust placement is really neat
+ 72 bhp propels faster than anything on the roads especially on the red signal
- the exhaust note is sad
- sari gaurd is a disaster..... i removed it immediately
I moved from a 220 pulsar to the ninja and didnt have any trouble handling this baby.
Overall, surely a excellent buy and value for money

Kawasaki provided Saree Guard on Ninja 650???

^^The Saree Guard on bikes is mandatory as per Indian Laws. The Saree Guard on the 250R was much better designed. However most riders I know got it removed.

The Saree guard on the 650R is horrible. I don't think anyone would even put that on a Rajdoot.
P.S. The Saree Guard is designed by Bajaj to make the bike fit for Indian Standards. Kawasaki has nothing to do with it.
Edit:
My Hearty Congratulations to the new owners. Ride Safe.Last edited by killer_instinct; 09-13-2011, 12:22 AM.sigpicI feel like Clark Kent on the streets riding the Pulsar, On the track.. with my Ninja.. I feel like Superman.

Congrats on your bike ! Seems like we got it back to back around the same time ! U bet the saree guard had to come off, it looked terribly out of place.
I have asked Bajaj PBK guys to give me matching SS allen bolts for the handholds once the saree guard is off, presently making do with some bolts that I had lying around.
I have also removed the front numberplate holder as I felt it totally took away the looks of the bike, this was a bit of a longish job as to access the rearview mirrors (underwhich the plate holder is fixed) is a real pain and I had to remove the instrument cluster to gain access! Took me about 30 minutes with the help of a friend.
+1 to most of your views above , I although quite like the exhaust note and honestly its a distinct sound compared to the inline 4 roars that we are used to hearing around us. If you want to make it louder, there are plenty aftermarket cans.
Stay in touch so we can exchange ideas and information,
Happy riding
