Also, may I add, tire shops suggesting 90/90 - 17 for front as an alternative, and 80/90 -17 too. Not sure what the impact in handling and safety would be, please suggest any alternative brands/ sizes you're used, and your experience with it.

    Thanks

    Hello guys,

Looking forward to an urgent tire change, the rear one burst.

Found the stock rear one. MRF Revz-s 130/70 - R17. The front one is scarce, I'm trying hard. But the tires in 90/80- 17 are hard to come by. Any other options? Please advise.

    Thanks

It has just cropped up. Ended up in emptying the whole tank once trusting the reserve fuel indicator to come up. Checker with service center guy and he said maybe fuel pump needs cleaning. Not very sure about it though.

    Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0

Hi everyone, I am back with update on my issue. Firstly, I apologize for the delay in sharing this. Previously, block piston of my R15 went bad and hence I got it replaced. I have attached the image of the bill. Once, the new block piston was installed, I did first service in 1000 kms again after the run in period and then second usual service after 3000 kms. Checked oil level just to be sure that the issue has been fixed. Happy to inform that it has been fixed. Couple of new issues have come up
    1) Reserve indicator on the console not displaying whenever fuel goes to reserve.
    2) Clip-on's getting loose after period of time. Have adjusted it couple of times but after two to three weeks it gets loose while handling the bike. Service center guys have asked me to replace it.
    3) Power delivery has a lag currently. The chain and sprocket does not respond to fast throttle input. They take couple of seconds than usual to provide the power. The feel of gear shift is not present after first 3 gear and when you do shift say in 4th gear, the bike jerks before starting to move ahead. I am thinking whether to change the sprocket to stock one or invest in a better one. Bike touches 70-80 with ease but does not go beyond 110 kmph (I do not drive at this speed, occasionally on highway I try to touch this speed). Any good after market sprocket for R15?

Try Bangalore Wheels, Rajajinagar. I find them to be reasonably competent. It will be far for you but I travel from Indiranagar (equally far) as am not happy with the quality of service in my area. Call the number in the link below for the exact location of the service centre at Rajajinagar

Contact Us – Authorized Yamaha Showroom Bangalore, Rajaji Nagar
