Now that Garware Motors is out of the picture, are you guys facing any issues with service, parts etc. or is the new dealer transition a smooth process?

Please correct me if am wrong. The local dealers for eg. in Bangalore should not be effected by the transition to the new dealer. For them its only their principle that would be changed. OR is it that the new dealer is getting everything in place from scratch.

      Santoosh,

For tight corners that have to be taken in 1st gear, I have to use the clutch to smooth out the power delivery, because even the slightest adjustments to the throttle results in pretty hard changes to rear wheel speed.

Have you experienced any failures or problems related to build quality or are you just unhappy at fit and finish?

      Thanks,
      Saurav

What do you mean by this? You mean again Hyosung is orphaned by Garware like Kinetic? In fact am trying to open Garware MotorsImages and it says "Under Construction". I was checking out GT 650 naked since N 650R has disappeared from showroom.

Yes yes. There is a BIG problem with spares now. I have ordered for the wheel and waiting for 2+ weeks now. Still yet to be dispatched from pune. Whenever, I call they say management change/accounts are in progress and they'll dispatch it in 2 days but nothing happening really. My dear is standing in the showroom for weeks now. Really frustrating.

Being an unforeseen wheel related issue, its quite frustrating indeed.

              --

I am pending my fourth service now. Bike goes to SVC tomorrow.
The only good thing is, I took the GT to the showroom for diagnosis check 2 weeks ago and let them order whatever spares that were necessary and the last shipment arrived today.

Will take it into service tomorrow and being a weekday, they've arranged for it to be serviced and delivered on same day. Going to follow this procedure going forward for all my services, since I get to enjoy atleast one week of riding, while spares are being shipped from Pune/Korea.

Why none of the owners have written a Long Term Review on GT650 ?? Haven't any one done with good riding with GT650 ?? No long tour etc ?? No! 1 Yrcompleted guys ??

Please write an extensive review about the Hyosung GT650 in First Impression Thread so people can have an idea what is + and - on this bike!!!

                      A short review of GT650N

Till now my experience with the bike:

Bike is having starting problem from day one. It'll start eventually since I know the trick Blame goes to the faulty clutch cable switch which is replaced now and problem solved. Indicator+pass switch gear assembly already replaced due to faulty pass switch. Rear number plate light already changed (400rs!) since some moron broke it @ my parking area. 1st service was free (200rs only excluding Oil+ oil filter was free). While to going to Pune from Bangalore GT was marking it's territory aka leaking engine oil from the oil seal. Reason was it was not fitted properly after the 1st service which is fixed now. Had some issues with adulterated fuel ~ fueling becomes jerky, more heat and vibes. Shell is good but got best result from IOC extra-premium. But in general it can be ran with any pumps fuel. GT loves high speeds. Lower speeds it becomes heavier to handle. Best 650 probably in India right now for city riding. Heat is very much tolerable in stop and go traffic. Mileage: City10-15Kmpl, Highways 24-26Kmpl. Touched a speed of 180Kmph till now. My super slim body took a toll initially ~ read Body Pain, Numbness in hand/wrist. But now I'm totally comfortable with it. Using Shell FS~ got a steal deal for 660rs for 1 can. Bike is 60 dyas old; odo reads 4300km+. Service quality is top notch and spares are not that much of headache till now. Overall a happy customer.

Wonderful pics. John's talent , needless to say.

How has the service experience been in bangalore? Saw in some of the previous posts that there are issues with spares. Any hope of these issues getting resolved fast?

Service is very good but they usually take time...few days. There is a mech called Pradeep; he's the best. Others all are new since old mechs/managers left. The pressure is huge on Pradeep and he's havinga tough time to manage all bikes almost alone

Spare parts for GT650 are available if not you'll get it in a week time. But still less/no spares for Gt250R ...sad affair by DSK.

What I feel if you have a mini garage at your house you can do it by yourself. These bikes need little maintenance as of now.
Yesterday given the bike for 2nd service. ASC is using Mobil1 engine oil (850rs). Previously using Shell FS (660rs/ltr from a local shop) but now the price is 796 rs in shell bunk
Service Charge is reduced from 2000rs to 1500rs...still costlier than N650
Service cost will be approx 5500rs. (service charge 1500+ 2720 oil + 500rs Oil filter + 200 rs consumables+...need to check)
Rear brake pad will last for 500-700 kms more.
                            Odo reads almost 5000kms.
