Guys,
I couldn't find a Vespa LX 125 thread on Xbhp, so I'm making one right now. And why am "I" making it? Read on...
My dad has, for most part of his life, been a proud owner of a Bajaj vehicle. He owned a 1970's time Bajaj Priya scooter, on which I used to ride standing on the footrest area as a small kid myself. My dad now has an XCD and I have a modified Pulsar 180 (208cc now). But recently, my dad, now about 56 years old, had a minor accident on a slope, something which I did not witness. But apparently, he lost control while trying to sit on the bike. This resulted in some injuries like scratches, cuts, bruises, etc.
So, this is the reason my dad wanted another product for his future- A lightweight Scooter. Because a car won't pass through our street, and a bike won't make him feel comfortable. Sadly, Bajaj doesn't make or sell any scooter now although I did tell my dad to wait for some months for a new Bajaj scooter. But, he test rode the Vespa LX125 and loved it!
And then he bought it home. Its lying in the backyard, waiting for registration, so the XCD is still in use. I've clicked some snaps of the LX:
Ok, the place is bad but the Scooter is not registered as of now:

The name which is now seen as an icon:

I like the console, the clock stays on even when the scooter is off & locked. Yes, accedentally, it was 3:33 PM at that time:

Switchgear and the general quality seems top notch & ergonomic enough:

Round RVMs:

Yes, a kick start is there. Its retro you know:

I sat on the seat. The scooter has a wide and comfortable kind of a seat, atleast for short rides if not long:

(NOTE: These snaps are snapped with my Nokia 808 Pureview, that too in a limited space, so their framing, exposure might not be optimal. Will get better snaps and a RIDE REPORT later on...)
Like I said, later, I will test the scoot myself and tell you whether its worth the salt or not. Comments & queries invited...
