Hi! friends i just bought new ray zr with disc for my father and he is loving all the attention, he is getting. Even when i brought it from showroom 2-3 people asked me the model. It feels broader like fazer. From front it looks like yamaha's snow mobile.

Its too soon to review it, but scooty feels quite sturdy and well made. Handle bar feels very narrow or small or may be i drive fzs, so it feels small
I will soon review rest of it.

      Thanx bro!
How acceleration feels to you, i feel sluggish pickup with pillion.
And one more thing please ride your ray zr at 50, don't thrash it just smoothly reach to 50. If you feel periodic vibration like something is rubbing or stucking, please do tell me.

So after a week of riding. I found that build quality is not that good, i feel yamaha always lacks in that section. Indicators are coming out. And i got approx 45kmpl, i will keep testing for more weeks to confirm fuel consumption.

            Congrats on your new ZR..

Just wondering if these panels were inter-changeable with the old Ray. The dimensions are the same, not sure if they would still have the same mounting points though.

I doubt that you can use the same because when yamaha released fzs v2.0 they changed the mounting points also. But you can ask svc, if you are lucky or not.

                  Thank you brother.
                  Both colors are good looking.
I think you should go for Ray ZR disc brake option, scooter gives you bike like confidence and comfort
                  With the disc+telescopic forks
If you test ride and not satisfied with disc brakes don't worry
Mine was not that good for around 300km, now it's has a better response.
From my side 'll prefer disc brake option.

I am preferring drum brake variant because of colour and my budget restriction. As disk break cost me 2500 to 3000 extra in south. My Friends suggested to go for Maverick blue but my Dad is suggesting to go for Roster Red (as it is readily available for delivery). So confused...!!

                    Guys need your suggestions Please.

You are already paying a 60k+ for the bike, 2.5-3k won't be a big deal.
65k on road in Coimbatore is a very reasonable price.
You will regret in future if you choose drum version.
As on my view disc variant colors are super cool, It's a eye catcher.

Don't waste your money on disc version, disc is spongy like there was air trapped. I took the scooty to the svc and they said it was ok, i asked them for flush and bleed it but they refused. Believe me take test ride and note the time, rear drum stops scooty much faster than front disc.
And i don't know what is yamaha doing but they completely lost quality control. My ray zr has completed only 700km and it started buzzing. And front suspension was awful every time it goes over potholes it makes weird sound.
Engine is very underpowered, with pillion rider it get stuck to the road and refuses to act smoothly to throttle.
I'm stuck with yamaha in Delhi, because it is the only company which has average customer service. All other companies are just pathetic like honda etc
Another let down from yamaha first fzs and know ray zr.
If style is your only concern then buy ray zr.

Yup. In first service they also lessen the gap of valve as per yamaha suggestion cause they don't have enough quality control to check these things will manufacturing.

Don't expect the brakes perform like your FZ's.
Maybe you comparing with your fz.
I'm very much satisfied with the brakes.
Will post a video on brakes ASAP.
