Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Folks,
Any owner has undergone the seat modification on their interceptor bikes? Am not comfortable with the soft setup; trying to look for shops in Chennai.
Any suggestions/experiences are most welcome.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
You cannot compare rate in Chennai with one in your city as the Ex showroom price will change from city to city, also you can get cheaper insurance if its without zero depreciation but its not recommended, your showroom might be quoting based on higher IDV value and what you see online might be for lower IDV. Plas ask with your showroom what's the IDV and is it zero depreciation, then check online with same company.Originally posted by yashasvi View Postcan you please upload the insurance receipt or document so that i can force my insurance guy to give me the same rate

That looks good, thanks for sharing. Can you share the place where you got it done? And the cost details if you don't mind.Originally posted by jayanth_b_p View PostI have got the seats modified, Its definitely way comfortable than before. I'm going to be in Bangalore mid-week; have one option (of getting this done); but would like to have alternatives.
I agree with Mohan Krishna; your insurance guy would probably shoot it down saying different city; different rate. PM me your email ID; I'll send my invoice.Originally posted by yashasvi View Postcan you please upload the insurance receipt or document so that i can force my insurance guy to give me the same rate

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
I don't know about the showroom guys but my insurance guy is quoting me by taking the maxing IDV allowed i.e. ex showroom price minus 10%, ex showroom of continental gt chrome edition is 285609₹ and road tax is 29920₹ in jaipur, rajasthan. Showroom people are quoting 36k for 5 year zero depreciation+5 year own damage+ 5 years 3rd party and my guy is quoting 27k for the same deal and the maximum idv allowedOriginally posted by Dandamudi Mohan Krishna View PostYou cannot compare rate in Chennai with one in your city as the Ex showroom price will change from city to city, also you can get cheaper insurance if its without zero depreciation but its not recommended, your showroom might be quoting based on higher IDV value and what you see online might be for lower IDV. lot of commissions (dealer/insurance agent) involved in insurance. pick whatever is the lowest for the coverage you are looking for.Originally posted by yashasvi View PostI don't know about the showroom guys but my insurance guy is quoting me by taking the maxing IDV allowed i.e. ex showroom price minus 10%, ex showroom of continental gt chrome edition is 285609₹ and road tax is 29920₹ in jaipur, rajasthan. you can also check online for the rates and compare. it is NOT compulsory to take the insurance from the bike dealer, you can simply take the vehicle details (chassis/eng no.) and get the insurance yourself and then produce that to take the bike out of the showroom.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
I have booked the continental gt black magic, it will get delivered in a week
Initially i wanted the chrome edition but i will be getting the AEW's exhaust and few accessories from the money saved instead. I am thinking of fork gaiters, sump guard and engine/crash guards.
Peace

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Odometer now at 1900kms..
After dropping my friend at a factory near Red Hills, Chennai, had some time to kill. Went to Netukuppam Pier and wandered around Ennore. Nice roads around the area but with massive trucks moving in certain narrow streets. Some regions felt like was in the streets of Kanyakumari. Returned close to 32kmpl since I kept it below 90kmph throughout.
Cheers
