Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
it is indeed a great ride on the I650, each day i enjoy it even more (taken delivery on 29th jan-2019) probably more than the ninja 650, i am being a little mean here but really it is fun riding on a I650 specially the dual exhaust ,the sound the looks, i have put the number plate on the side and without the rear mud guard it looks adorable, i will post snaps soon.Originally posted by sparky View PostUpswept exhausts have both a design and functional elements. They help protect the exhaust when crossing water puddles and slush.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
So, I got a longer test ride, about 8km on both twins.
Few things I have noted post discussion with other riders who were at the event.
1. Throttle was too hard for the Duke and cbr riders
2. GT is more fun but not good for long rides.
3. The gt's footpegs could be the solution for the footpegs problem on the interceptor.
4. Need better seats for both
5. They are death traps if you do not have good fundamentals in cornering (all bikes of this capacity are).

This was expected.Originally posted by Ijs View Posthttps://auto.ndtv.com/news/13-royal-...ll-you-1994314
Owners please go through this and share if you also faced these issues or are these only a one off case.
Everything that will be closely looked at in media reviews is of good quality, everything else is just substandard.
Guess we can only hope to get aftermarket options for most of these issues

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Guys got a mail from the dealer that I booked the i650 with detailing the delivery commitment timeline https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwT...w?usp=drivesdk
So basically it became a 6 months waiting period from the initial 3 months

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
The on going strike could be the reason behind this. The Chennai plant is suffering due to labor strike. Seems like cancellation is the only way to go now. Six months wait would make many booking ending up as no show.Originally posted by Xm4tr1x View PostGuys got a mail from the dealer that I booked the i650 with detailing the delivery commitment timeline https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwT...w?usp=drivesdk

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
I had 3 test rides on showroom td bike which is ill kept and full of dust, around 6k kms on odo, and i didn't noticed rust anywhere or the stutter of 1st gear , footpegs position depends on person to person.Originally posted by Xm4tr1x View PostThis was expected.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
I did bit longer test ride today... event was organized by RE itself. Many had registered for the event and company did followup with me, so that I can attend the event.
- There were 4 Interceptors and 2 GT for test rides
- I did not felt riders footpeg as a issue. I'm tall 5 feet 10"
- However one rider was with pillion, and after a ride pillion was not at all happy!
- Rear foot pegs needs to be at lower height at least by an inch.
- Also noticed that it is possible to lower the silencer but lowering footpegs means re-welding chassis
- Bike has a weight and you have to respect that while riding. You cannot & should not ride it like you will ride Apache or Pulsar
- The pulling power is noticeable in every gear so you have to carefully throttle the bike.
During discussion with other riders, it was clear that RE is taking feedback from current delivered bikes and we may see some corrections.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
That’s sad to hear. Can you provide more details like colour and dealer?Originally posted by Xm4tr1x View PostGuys got a mail from the dealer that I booked the i650 with detailing the delivery commitment timeline https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwT...w?usp=drivesdk

If you booked a custom colour, then this looks believable. Because standard colours are being delivered much faster. People who booked in December 1st week have already got their bikes (standard colours I mean)

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Going by this sheet you shared, you might receive the bike only by June 3rd week. That’s a really long wait. What did the showroom guys say? Did they also quote June?Originally posted by Xm4tr1x View PostOrange crush colour booked around 12jan from Sonia motors thane Maharashtra

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
At booking they said I'll get mine by April. I called them up after I received this in the email and they said it's from the company.Originally posted by Vibhav-Van View PostGoing by this sheet you shared, you might receive the bike only by June 3rd week. I am seriously considering to cancel this bike.

If it really stays like this then many booking will be cancelled , same with jawa seen few bookings getting cancelled due to more than six months of waiting period.Originally posted by Xm4tr1x View PostAt booking they said I'll get mine by April. These companies have to work extra time to keep the interest alive.
