    Today is the second day of riding and my shoulders are aching a little like how they would after your first day in gym. Its like the muscles are activated after a long break. Coming from a scooter and a Classic 500, I guess this will take some getting used to.

    So, right now, due to the lack of a proper seat and backrest for the pillion, I am really careful when accelerating from a stop. But once alone, its a breeze.

    There's just one word for this beautiful motorcycle. EFFORTLESS!
    Is touring seat not good enough? The one lot of GT bikers are using?

      From the looks of it, I don't think so. At least not for the comfort that I am used to on the C5.

      I spoke to Imran (Perfect Seats) here in Mumbai last week. He said he has finalised the design and is getting the die made for the seat which should be available by Feb end. He's also working on a handlebar to go with the seats similar to RD350 handlebar + bucket seat combo for the Classics.

        Not used to a bike of 200KG so my forearms are getting sore on every TD.
        Also, because I'm planning to ride in Noida, I did a TD in peak traffic and on open roads same time.

        The bike is great when there is no traffic and is a lot fun.
        But in stop go situations it's too heavy to manoeuvre.
        May be a change in handle or position.

        Spending 3lac + and still not confident and comfortable with the bike is causing the confusion.

        Not able to read any similar issue from anyone, I'm doubting myself if there is something wrong with my riding stance or posture.

          Nope you are not wrong. The riding posture is a little committed and causes wrist pain for me too while riding. A seat + handlebar change is a must, at least for me.

            Yes, the bike is hefty, but you'll get used to it soon. Unless you're going to use it primarily in the city, the weight won't be an issue. Handlebar position can be adjusted even the Overdrive long term article mentioned that the handlebar position was pulled back for better reach and rideability.

              One of the easiest ways to make the riding position better is to bring the handlebar closer to the rider by about an inch (and some). This helps reduce the incline of the upper body as you reach for the bars.

              The touring seat of the Continental GT not only creates a step-up for the pillion which prevents the head banging while braking but is also a boon for slightly shorter riders, 5"7 and below, as it shaves about 5-6mm off the seat height. Has anyone else tried this?

                thats correct i got it done at the agency, first thing. it is much more comfortable and look good too.

                      This looks like too much of a bend at knee , whereas i tried it as a pillion and it was not like this for me, and and other guy who sat behind me. I am only 5.4fts.
                      But as a reference we can see various videos on the net, one such ia on insta on the handle of bikewithgirl she had a small round with sid lala as a pillion and his legs were not bent like this.
                      Some owner should post a video or pics with pillion rider who is of average height to clear the picture.

                        I would like to make an observation here. The guy sitting pillion here is a near 6 footer. Tall pillion riders will definitely find this position uncomfortable. If however, your use-case for a pillion rider is your wife, and her height is 5"6" or lower, it is actually quite comfortable. Not generalizing here, but, empirically, the product (pillion) - market (wife) fit is actually pretty reasonable for the average Indian owner.

                        Now, smouldering pillion shoes on the exhaust, that's a problem that definitely needs a solution irrespective of the pillion rider's height. AEW exhausts seem like a good fix as long as these pipes don't void the warranty. I am actually starting to like'em a lot.

                                My store's brand champ told me they have upped the production numbers to meet with the high demand for the bikes. He couldn't give me any figures though.
